Doesn't really qualify as a speedrun, it was actually my first attempt at a flawless solo (no consummables).

I picked the easiest setup possible and as expected it was pretty easy with a TGI.

I did try to go as fast as possible but even with adrenaline III, I still had to cover a lot of distance to use my reegar.

 

Only recorded extraction because hardrive is full...

Yeah what I meant is that it was easy to do a flawless solo with TGI.

Reegar and TGI is a personnal favorite combo of mine but I agree it is not ideal for a speedrun, but then again, though I tried

to be as fast as possible, my main goal was the no consumable thingy.

Yeah, but slap a Harrier or Saber for that sweet AR bonus next time  Reegar doesn't benefit from Cloak AR bonus.

Yeah I am aware of what TGI can do with assault rifles believe me, I've experienced it with harrier, saber, particle rifle, typhoon and pretty much any other rifle tbh.

But still, reegar remains a favorite of mine when it comes to TGI, especially when not playing solo since the Cloak and stimpacks make it so easy to get close to ennemies. 

 

I should also mention that the reegar is so op that it doesn't even need that much buff + it's a higly versatile weapon.

Shock trooper upgrade+ Shotgun Rail Amp III + Incendiary Rounds IV (or AP) is more than enough to take care of any ennemy in any faction.

On platinum, the only ennemy that still puts up a fight  is the possesed Praetorian. 

The only thing that he truly lacks is range, and thank god for that or it would be ridiculous.

 

Anyways , it's just a matter of personal preferences and habit I guess, that's why I will name my son Reegar

Got so fired up I forgot to use my cobras haha ! I think I realized it somewhere in wave 10 and that confused me so hard for a second I wasn't sure if it was wave 10 or 6.

I was aiming at something around 21:00 and I feel like starting to use missiles more appropriately might have helped me gain a couple of minutes, maybe not...

Better use of cobras and more aggressive gameplay allowed me to reduce the duration and make a proper speedrun, think I'm done with this one.

I haven't done a sub 18 run with the novaguard yet either, just 18:15 with getting rekt by turrets and crappy nuking.

 

But anyway to get to the point, novaguard builds. I am not sure if you're speccing half blast? If not, you should at least try it. More combos, more stagger, more iframes and iirc more straight up damage too.

 

Equipment wise all the 3 usual suspects (cyclo, power amp, adrenaline) are ok, all are helpful yet not critical. I prefer power amps, since more damage is more damage even if its not that much. Cyclo can be helpful but most of the time if you die without cyclo on the novaguard you'd die with it too. Adrenaline is always nice but you'll be charging, using nova or rha most of the time anyway.

 

Weapon mods, you really should ditch the power amp imo. Piercing is a lot more useful than a small power damage boost. You can hit multiple enemies with 1 shot, shoot through cover, kill guardians and get more damage vs goons and atlases. No matter how good your nukes are you will still need to kill a bunch of them. It's just a question of barrel+ap or mag+ap for me. Barrel+ap is obviously better if you keep perfect track of your ammo and hide reloads with charge/nova all the time, but mag+ap helps if you're a scrub like me.

Yeah i ll try to record on a ext HDD next time. I was allready pretty conviced by ap pistol mod, yeah (but number wise, it might me discussed a bit). I died far less and hadnt to worry much with Cyclo IV. WIth power amp IV, i dont get to extraction most of the time

 

For getting into the list, i think there are few screenies slower, and fex of the vid are unaccessible anyway ... But i guess as long as i dont have a vid...

My first entry here, with a back to basics approach, so I grabbed a Mantis and soloed a Gold match. As I don't have a camera, these are shitty mobile pictures (every MP game should allow to take screenshots in-game, Bioware), but what is important is visible on them, hope it is recognized, even though I know it won't get on any record list, but that wasn't my intention (as there is no normal gold solo topic, I cannot really post this elsewhere, sorry).

Thing is, I started meleeing you because of noticing your Hungarian username, but by the time I saw your post in the BSNers met topic, I had forgotten the name of that geth that I've meleed so I could not connect your PSN and BSN names. After seeing it here, I remembered the mysterious geth's name 

 

Add me on PSN, I'll be near my PS3 on the weekend, hopefully we can team up. I have never played ME3 with Hungarians outside of meeting them in pugs. It would be a nice change from the usual Norwegian/German/Murican scrubbery I have to deal with every day
