Also what video capture software you guys/grills using?
I've used a lot of programs for recording. Some of the really ancient solos of mine (with 2013 dates, I'm not sure there are too many of those left in this HoF as I've tried to prune them all out) used Fraps, but that had a heavy load on my system (it actually caused frame rate stuttering in game at times) and was really prone to recording corrupted stuff.
For most everything else including the recent stuff I've used MSI Afterburner. I like it much better than Fraps, it can record at HD without causing any performance issues. I do have a pretty old PC so this is always a concern.
I use ShadowPlay because I have a recent enough nVidia card that makes use of it. Barring that option I agree with what TechnoTurian has mentioned. Afterburner proved to be less taxing vs. FRAPS.
One thing most people can do to make their captures even more impressive is use something like SweetFX. Here's a video I captured a while back with my tweaked SweetFX in use. Note the colors. Bright and vivid. This will hit frame rates slightly when in use but I have a 2560x1440 monitor so it's already under a bit of strain to begin with. 1920x1080 shouldn't take as much of hit (or any) unless you have a very low powered GPU. When SFX is in use it's like you cleaned a dirty window and can finally see what you were meant to see all along.
If anyone wants to try this I've created a zip with the files here: http://1drv.ms/1JcmFyf
There is nothing sinister here. It's just a few files that make your game look really nice. Extract to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\Binaries\Win32
Change drive letter accordingly if you have installed it elsewhere. The read me is worth looking into if you wish to adjust it further. That is done in the SweetFX_settings.ini file. Again, see the read me file for instructions on that. If you do not like what you see or it is proving to be too much of a burden on your frame rate simply close the game and delete the 9 included files (see read me if you are unsure of which ones) plus the log.log file that is generated after first run from the games binary folder (see above). That's it. No uninstall necessary since you didn't install anything to begin with.
It is instantly noticeable when you get to the 'Press any key to continue' screen because at that point it is not a cutscene-like video. To toggle SFX just tap the scroll lock key and you can see what it is like with and without it in use. This works in all the games I play - YMMV. I'm not sure this is worth attempting on a laptop unless it is a purpose built gaming type or high end model.
The only reason I'm cluttering up this thread is I like the videos here but they all seem a little murky after being spoiled by what I'm seeing day to day in the game. By the way, this also makes the SP gorgeous. I sometimes find myself looking at stuff instead of, you know, getting on with the game.
EDIT:
I may have dorked up the folder structure in the link above. If that one doesn't produce results then delete those files and extract this directory to the same location instead. It's been a while since I added that so I plead befuddled old man syndrome.
