I pictured Leliana saying that line, and I kinda loved it.

I expect her final model will have some cuts and bruises, and her outfit maybe being something closer to a prisoner.

but why would that be spoiler-like? I mean, of course you expect a tortured person to show signs of torture, that's no spoiler. I'm thinking it's a major change of some kind, missing (not bow-string hand) fingers or an eye, or some giant scars. Idk, maybe I'm just morbid, but now I can't get the image of Leliana Fury out of my head lol

Bruises wouldn't really be spoilerific considering she is being tortured. You'd expect her to be a little battered.
Maybe she got Fenris'd.

That wouldn't really be spoilery either though, since it is the same principle just more extreme.

If it's spoilerific, it implies that something happened before this event to change her appearance, since we know that Leliana doesn't have to be the one sent to the E3 mission.
It did actually cross my mind that she would lose an eye when they said that her appearance would be a spoiler. It could also be that her outfit changes to match an organisation we haven't seen yet, for inflitration purposes.

If Leliana is missing a limb or something...that might be the case with Cullen or Josephine if you send them and they get captured....O_O

That wouldn't work, since she's still fighting and firing arrows and everything. The most they could do is make her lose an eye.

A limb? I doubt it.
The scene relies heavily on the fact that she's shooting arrows. Now, I know we could come up with several exceptions if we gave it a minute of research, but people in general will need all of their limbs to do that.

I'm thinking that Cullen is probably the best choice for dealing with Redcliffe, since they said sending in Leliana is optional. I can't imagine that the half-crazed necromancer can be negotiated with. (Josephine)

I still think there's more to it than just choosing which Advisor to send

exactly! Which is why I thought that losing an eye or the non-bowstring hand's fingers made sense. However that's with no dev info at all so idk, maybe they just don't want to show off her clothes in tatters with a black eye yet, idk. Still hoping for nick fury thoughA limb? I doubt it.

There is. One of the Devs stated that we only saw about half the scene.

I figured it was just her wearing a giant "I
templars" shirt (or whichever faction the Inquisitor sided with by then).

well, one is a permanent disfigurement, the other is temporary. I get where you're coming from, but the DA universe doesn't exactly have Bacta tanks for regrowing limbs/body parts. Hence a permanent appearance change would be spoilers. That wouldn't really be spoilery either though, since it is the same principle just more extreme.

I'm glad to hear it was a placeholder. Do you have a link to that confirmation? Definitely interested in seeing what it spoils, as well as if her model actually shows some signs of torture and abuse that would fit her time in those mage's custody. I doubt there's any serious disfigurement seeing as her fighting towards the end required all her limbs and I assume eyes, but that her outfit would possibly show the presence of a new faction or something like that is a definite possibility.
