I plan on being a filmmaker in the near future, and I have a big idea for a spin-off set in the same universe 20 years after the events of Mass Effect 3. I know that there are plans to create a movie based on the plot of the original trilogy, so if I ever successfully step into the right path in the production business, I would probably need to come to an agreement with the filmmakers for that. It may seem stupid right now given the fact that I have zero qualifications for film at all as of now, but I really think this could work. It probably wouldn't happen for at least ten years from now, anyway. But within the next few years, while working towards the filmmaker career, I would also like to make relations with Bioware. I have great ideas for movies, though. Good plotlines. Soon I will start creating short films (unrelated to Mass Effect) in order to hopefully become noticed by the film industry. I don't know how seriously you guys are gonna take me, but I really think this could work if I know how to contact Bioware in a few years about it.

Universal May Have Just Announced the Mass Effect Movie

Can't vouch for it's veracity though.

I suppose it's a little early for me to be announcing my plans here, but, I guess I'm just worried that someone else will have a similar idea and take their chances first. If a film trilogy about the original games IS 100% guaranteed, I'll probably have to wait until they have all been made. Like Thomas Tull said in that article, they can't screw up this story about Commander Shepard. The story idea I've come up with is my own, and nobody has any idea about it, so I don't necessarily have the same pressure by the fans to make it perfect. But, maybe I should wait until I have actual filmmaking qualifications to start this now.

LionHead Studios owns the movie rights, and they work with Universal Studios. LionHead Studios are same company that made Fable Series.

So why would Lionhead studios, a subsidiary of Microsoft own the movie rights to a game franchise published by EA?

He/she is messing with you surely. Lionhead isn't mentioned at all.

Not to mention, Lionhead are game developers, not movie developers.

Legendary Pictures owns the rights.

The idea of Lionhead working on the Mass Effect movie is just lol. It'll be filled with fart jokes and stupid cliche plot twists.
