I want to be able to use all 4 voice actors for any inquisitor! Because that'd be HILARIOUS.
Don't split the Inquisitor voice actors by gender!

Agreed.
Hilarious for people who think trans people are hilarious, I guess.
Because trans people are the only people with "unusual" voices? I like having lots of options. I like hilarious voices on occasion. If I could get options like "cracked-voice teenager" and "falsetto" and "lisp" etc. I would be delighted. Sadly, there's no budget for that sort of thing. But they can easily remove the gender specificity of the voices they have (although it might require a few duplicate lines here and there if there are places where the Inquisitor references his/her own gender).

None of the VAs have unusual (or particularly funny) voices, though. Someone may want to pick AWR or Sumalee if they're playing a trans male Inquisitor for instance, in order to increase immersion and add validity to their personal headcanons. If you just want the comedic "shock" effect of having a voice that you'd normally perceive as one gender coming out of the mouth of a different gender, then what are you really laughing at?

This thread is operating under the assumption that BioWare wants the player to have the option to play as a Trans. Which is not bloody likely.

They probably haven't recorded male lines with female voice actors, or vice versa, so I doubt this could be implemented now.

It's actually operating under the assumption that BioWare is more interested in giving cis people something to laugh at.
Either way, BioWare can't force you to be cis.

The unbearable stench of transphobia in this whole topic, wow!
I agree with not restricting the genders for voices, not because it is funny but because of trans, people with less traditional gender specific voices, or watever the reason. It was already proven, that bioware did make an effort to include trans characters with the comics, so I really do not get why are people being an ass about this.
By the way I can be trans in the game if I want, it is not about the voice at all, the ignorance is to damn high.

Surely you weren't referring to me.
