No Loghain? Weird.
I haven't played Awakening, I didn't really care for the Arishok, and I'm tired of games relying on "insane" villains, so... wow, tbh, I'm not actually the biggest fan of BioWare's villains (at least in DA, anyway).

What is that from? Some part of my brain tells me that I've seen that character before, but I have no recollection of what that chicken actually is or what it's from.
Feathers McGraw, a jewel thief who of course was out smarted by Wallace and Gromitt.

I don't see Arl Howe on that list... eh... I guess I'll pick the Architect.

Arishok- i respect his dedication to the qun. He was a tough cookie and it was damn fun to see him grow more impatient with kirkwall yet respect my apostate Hawke.
Meredith- although i didn't like her treatment of mages, i feel sorry that the red lyrium ultimately destroyed her.
My fav villian however would have to be the Arishok, though the Architect is not without his charm lol.

Architect is dangerous psyhopatic and have to be killed.

Dragon Age 2 would've been an even bigger pile of sh!t if it didn't have the Arishok. So definitely him. Meredith was easily replaceable.

Went with the Arishok. I loved his personality and the relationship Hawke builds with him.
I didn't care much one way or the other for the Architect. For some reason the idea of him is more interesting to me than what I actually got in Awakening. Maybe I should try checking out the Calling at some point.
Meredith was fine as a villain, but needed more exploration.
Loghain and Howe missing is a bit weird. They did a decent job making me loath the two of them. I might have actually picked one of them over the Arishok.

Meredith may actually be one of my favorite villains ever.
1. Realistic and believable motivations (No, "Mwahaha! Destroy the world!" etc.)
2. Sympathetic without using a "tragic backstory tm" to excuse her actions (Some villains are too sympathetic and they get fans who insist they did nothing wrong because of it.)
3. Amazing voice acting.
These are a few of my favorite things. I love her! Enough said.

I agree
Loghain is the best of the bunch, and the others are lackluster in the extreme

Meredith kind of had a tragic backstory, it was just hidden to everyone who didn't support her in the starting of Act 3 (I think).Meredith may actually be one of my favorite villains ever.

i thought all of those guys were feeble idiots and laughably threating

neither of these 3 were villains...
The architect wants peace as much as the next guy, just by unusual means. It's not like our warden is a saint... slaying about half the ferelden population if he gets the chance.
The arishok is duped and disgraced by everybody. He's right to have some friggin' payback.
Meredith, well, most of all maybe a villain, but only really after she got the red lyrium thingy, which drove her crazy (even more), so not entirely her fault...
To me a villain is someone who hurts and destroys for the love of destruction (the Joker), not someone pushed in a corner who fights back.
Howe, now THERE's a real douche. I REALLY enjoyed killing him.

Out of those 3?
The Arishok, for me he was the highlight of Dragon Age 2.
So much so, I've been wondering if you let him walk out of Kirkwall in DA2 with Tome of Koslun does he return in later games in some fashion (I've never actually had this out come before as I like Isabela too much to let him drag her off to Par Vollen

The Arishok.
Although I do not see him as a Villain, since he was completely justified and his Rule would have made the City a better place for all we know that went down after he left. He was just an Antagonist and a bloody brilliant one at that.

But since those arent the options....its defo Meredith. That urge to kill her was quite legendary

Of those three? Meredith. She seemed well written and I loved her voice acting.
