Same ratio of mooks and bosses as in Gold but thougher, additional mirrow match enemies with same powers/weapons as the players, one objective "kill the superboss" with a Cerberus Gunship, a Reaper Harvester or a Geth Armature, that are immune to or shoot down incoming Cobras.

Enhanced AI would have been very interesting, like giving certain units the ability to execute combined attacks more consistently by having them target and engage the same player as a unit.
Also giving them shorter reaction times may have made it more challenging in a good way. As it is now, basically none of the opponents have any real countermeasure to being flanked.

Not Platinum exactly but... can earned XP be inversely correlated with number of used consumables and their levels?

Tougher hazard maps
Friendly fire on some abilities
Tougher objectives

2. Limit on the bosses should be 1 (until wave 3), 2 (for waves 4 to 6) and 3 (from 7 to 11)
3. Better mix of enemies (why have 3 pyros on wave 8 coll. platinum? I'd rather have 1 pyro, 1 phantom and 1 marauder - 3 enemies with different speeds, and different styles of attacks will make it a lot more interesting)
4. Unpredictable wave compositions (so that it's not possible to know the enemies in a given wave before hand) - sometimes collector wave 8 will have 2 primes and 1 crab while sometimes it's 1 banshee, 1 prime and 1 atlas, while it's something else the next time)
All of these... and increased enemy movement speed.

IDK I think Platinum is fine as far as enemy composition as long as some buggyness with some enemies is fixed. I do think you should have an immunity frame on reviving on par with Gold and stagger immunity for a brief instance. There's no reason a goddamn blue orb should be the boss of the game.
Marauder shields may have failed but if the goddamn combat drone was the boss of single player Shepard would've been toast.

People are suggesting friendly fire. Clearly they have not thought this through.
If there was friendly fire, would you really be able to risk playing Platinum with me? What about Altbouli? Or some random pug?
If you thought being locked in the reactor was bad....

No to friendly fire in a coop game. Same people wanting it would **** all over themselves and quit playing multiplayer after a week or two. If you wanted a separate PvP that would be fine but I have no idea how they would make it work with some of the powers in ME.
Splash damage is also an ignorant idea that punishes decent players for the stupidity of others, that's not from some elite, pro player either, I routinely enjoy a diet of Atlas missiles throughout the game.

I tell you what, with the rag tag band of PUG'ed up misfits I've been taking Platinums down with lately...it likely wouldn't matter how they changed it. Players always find a way. There's really no way to "improve" it without making it nigh unbeatable by creating an "Unsane" difficulty.
As it stands platinum is the only difficulty that still requires "team work" to be successful. Sadly that's not exactly true because mf'ers can solo that s**t which was a really stupid idea if you ask me. So we need something:
1) That players can't possibly solo
2) That's actually beatable but is probably you'll win 1 out of 3 games hard. Maybe 1 out of 4
3) That sincerely rewards your effort and skill.
So would 45 mins of your time and using all ops pack, gels and missiles be worth a promised Ultra Rare? That's the question

Next game there shouldn't be weapon rarities.
Starting guns, then you get what you get,.. but that's never going to happen.

IF you were to build a difficulty in which some players cannot solo, there would be no way that a full team of anything but the best players could ever win even 1 out of 3 games.

What if objectives required the help of 3 teammates?

I disagree with this, again "actual" team work. Like I said, been doing platinums with FAR from super skilled players. Like guys are waiting for that snap freeze instead of just spamming overload. Not leaving our Juggernaught hanging just because he's slow. Little things man, little things.
What if objectives required the help of 3 teammates?
This just punishes players that can solo the current platinum difficulty. It's not their fault they're good, we just need something different.

I don't mind weapon rarities, Pokemon all day, gotta collect them all. Bioware just needs a more comprehensive or concise way to get them. Right now the RGN God we're praying to is too cruel a Deity plus the massive time suck just sucks the soul out of most players. Right now skill isn't rewarded and time offered isn't rewarded. They're lucky we f**king love this game.

Stop mixing factions...find it to be tedious and is like doing yard work as opposed to actually playing a game...limit ability for new players to be able to play Platinum..say ..you have had to completed 3 gold solos or a certain amount of gold waves before you are able to play Platinum...find a way to actually match make to where players who are able to play the same difficulty are put together

To me what Platinum should have been from day 1 is,
Gold with some changes,
- each player gets 1 missile
- sync kills are permanent for match (so screw up once and your team is down a member); as well sync kills lower the party cap so players can't leave just to get another new one.
-protected spawns where they enter spaced out, so you can't nuke em. Your missile is for that situation where things are just bad or that boss breathing down your neck during objective has to be removed.
-increase unit spawn to 10
-ammo boxes don't contain grenades, so what you brought with you is what you got.
- Grenade capacity and armored compartments not available.
-dual objectives, gets rid of the ability to solo. If you don't have a team then your pooched.

That's a little different AND Bioware likes that some people enjoy soloing. This game has something for a lot of different players who prefer different styles of play. You don't really want to take that away. FWIW I do think scoring should be suspended on objective waves or be slated where you actually receive points for doing the objective instead of running around like a jackass and killing stuff.
Besides what I'm saying is TTK is TTK versus enemies. You stack up enemies that are tough enough to stop some of the best of the best at this game from soloing and it's going to be a massacre for even decent players to get through. I do agree with BLVD that some powers/kits do cater to cheap styles of play but that's my opinion and really that's more of a balance issue with certain powers, weapons, and kits.

No offense but that's a terrible idea. Who is going to sit there for 25-30 mins after getting synced? That's not a game many people would play.

As it is platinum is unplayable for a good number of us. FF would just kill the guys that totally don't belong there quicker.

If you do not extract that character dies and you start over at level one for that class. Make extraction really mean something.

That seems like a truly horrendous idea to me. One little mistake or some enemy BS and you've then got to sit through 30 mins watching others try to complete the match? No thanks. Leechers are among the only players who would welcome that change, in my opinion.
