I'm not moved to tears easily, but this really hurts. He was a beautiful human being and a very funny man. Suicide is such a waste and we'll never get a good answer as to why he made this choice. I'm picturing him with the angels now, he'll be good company.
Robin Williams is dead.

If there's one actor-comedian whom were to fake their own death, that I'd be OK with, and still love them, it's Robin Williams!
Here is a quote about death from my favourite anime, One Piece. I'll edit it to be not sexist (it's my opinion, don't judge), by replacing a few gender-specific words with non-gender-specific words.
"When does someone die? When they are hit by a bullet? No! When they suffer a deadly disease? No! When they ate soup made out of a poisonous mushroom? No! A person dies... when they are forgotten! ~ The doctor called a quack; Dr. Hiriluk from One Piece.

I know what you mean. The last 2 years ('12 to '14) have been pretty sh!t for me. My 2nd grandpa (dad's side) died on Christmas in 2012, and my grandma (mum's side) died in February the next year. Erk, plus my heart-broken depression from December to now. One of the few good things is people being proved wrong about the world "ending" in 2012 - which was incredibly stupid, IMO.
For me, 3 deaths; 2 grandparents and the uniquely funny Robin Williams. He's definitely one of the few credible celebrities of the 19th century and the new millennium.

The protagonist of 'Jumanji' and 'Peter Man' is dead. He was a nice and funny guy.

I just remembered! Apparently they were going to make a Mrs. Doubtfire 2. I heard this on the radio station I frequently listen to, and it was a few weeks ago. =(
Also, apparently they are going to make a Zoolander 2, I heard today. A real one, not the fake one that Lady Gaga said she'd star in. I don't want to jinx anything, so I'll stop here.

I guess he could not handle it anymore. Not going to judge the man, hope he did not die painfully.

He was a comedy legend and I watched several of his movies in my childhood, he will be missed.
My prayers go out to his friends and family.

He had issues and he was willing to talk openly about them. We all have our demons, sadly his finally won.

He was one of my childhood idols... when I was in elementary school, I once wanted to convince the class that we invited him to our school...
I'm seriously down right now...

This is a good time to talk to friends and family about suicide prevention and treating depression and addiction.

The world really did lose a gem honestly.
You're free now, Genie.

A sense of humor defines people as a clan that is more profound than any political, social or religious perspective. It's effortless to set aside your views when doing mindless functions, but the people who share humor are the closest of friends. And they also provide the largest influence.
Robin Williams was most inspirational. Watching his movies was and still is always a good way to lift your spirits, even if it's for a moment.
RIP

My opinion of suicide aside, the world lost a very talented man who brought joy to a lot of lives - mine included. Rest in peace, Robin Williams. May the afterlife grant you the peace you couldn't find here.

Just something I felt like sharing.
Been a fan of Robin ever since I saw Aladdin and Mrs. Doubtfire as a kid. Quite a few of my favorite films include Robin Williams in them, so I am saddened by his death.

I was just listening to Dr. Nancy Snyderman on NBC's Today show discussing Robin Williams. I knew he had issues with depression, but I did not know his depression was bipolar. That explains a lot.....
I hope his death will cause more people to understand this kind of illness better.
