I'm sad he's gone. 
However only a part of me is sad he's gone.
The rest of me is happy that he existed! 
He knew how to be funny.
He knew how to be serious.
He knew when to go go subtle and when to go full on animated.
If there was a film with a terrible script, it didn't matter.
All you'd need to do is give Robin Williams the main part and he'd add lib half of the film.
His ad libbing was the best ad libbing in the industry.
This news made me so incredibly sad. I grew up with his work, for pretty much every phase of my life so far there were movies of his to accompany me. We lost an amazing actor, and simply a great person! R.I.P.
Couldn't help but think how sadly fitting this Watchmen quote is:
Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Guess even Genie gets depressed sometimes
I'll admit, until this news came up I would barely have even recognised his name aside from those recent Zelda commercials (Pardon my ignorance, I've just never been much good at placing actors names)
I didn't even realise he played the genie in Aladdin, and that was quite possibly my favourite film growing up.
Still, he seems like a good man, and it pains me to think of what sort of stuff such a person must have endured to lead them to suicide.

I don't think slinging mud around honors his memory and it is certainly cruel to his surviving family members. Please don't spoil this thread with that kind of crap. The man isn't even cold in his grave.
