Hello.

 

I need some help on how to add media to this forum like:

 

1. a youtube video that can be played here (not a link)

2. an image (clickable or non clickable) 

 

Any help is much appreciated.

Youtube videos are easy. Just post the url and the forum takes care of it.

 

Non-clickable images(actually, the forum automatically allows them to be clickable to a larger size in a foreground space over the boards)-

 

[ img ] *image url* [ / img ] <-- minus the spaces and asterisks

 

Clickable/Expandable images in new windows-

 

[ url = *image url* ] [ img ] *image url* [ / img ] [ / url ] <-- minus the spaces and asterisks

I am having trouble specifically with pasting a copied url............   Why doesn't the paste function work?

How so? When I copy urls, I manually drag over them until highlighted, click the Copy option in the bar, then come here and click the option for Paste. Works every time. If a url doesn't turn out right, its usually because the url itself is broken.

Thanks for responding. I do the same thing, highlight, copy, put my cursor where I want the item and select paste. Nothing happens. What browser are you using?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gl3e-OUnavQ Well, I found out the light switch on the far right of the editor will allow me to copy and paste if I hit it first. Now I just have to make the extensions work. Working in IE11 seems to cause problems.

Well, Internet Explorer IS Internet Explorer so I wouldn't be surprised if it did cause people problems.

What browser are you using? Are you on mobile? Perhaps something else is preventing you from posting a visible youtube video?

 

Remember to just post the url as is, without [ url ] tags.

I'm using chrome, yes maybe there is something preventing the video from showing up here, I'll try it again:

Indeed. I use Safari as my web browser if that matters in any way, though it shouldn't.

Yes & I think know what wrong I did with the first reply, I'm currently using two browsers at the same time. the video's URL is from the other browser (firefox), while I'm using Chrome here on the BSN, though I'm not sure if i'm right about this.
