So... how is El Dorado? I got interested after hearing you can randomize nations all over the world Civilization-style.

It's as good as your imagination. If you want a muslim damiyo populated by the French named the United States of Atlantis than you can have it.

I wish there was a way to make it unlimited and import flags. I want to have my Holy Britannian Empire ![]()

Importer support? Is there something wrong with the CK2/EU4 converter?
EDIT: Well, darn. There is. Paradox...

there is always something wrong with the importer, and until the Importer Improvement Project gets back on track it will likely stay that way
Been fiddling around with a few other mods recently, I did Shattered World with Ancient Religions as part of CK2 and "When the World Stopped Making Sense" which adds in a start date in 476 and a few others up to the ascent of Justinian as Byzantine Emperor, it covers the Rise of Islam, the last of the Migrations, the rise of Catholicism, and the decline of Hellenism and other religions. Sadly its horrifically unstable right now ;_;

thats the Shattered World with Ancient Religions activated, it does have a good deal of flavor for the added religions, but I haven't gotten around to playing it much

oh silly followers of Jesus and not the Blessed Virgin
fun tidbit, his daughter is a demon child and has taken Circe, Morgana, and that other one whose name I don't remember, Beshebel maybe, all as lovers as well as her sister, because why not

I see. The decision is only available for german and dutch culture right?
It's also available for Anglo-Saxon cultures as well. I have the option for it as Mercia (England), but I doubt I'll ever meet the requirements for making it on this game.

It doesn't matter when playing as England because:

Me and my friends started up a session in the Game of Thrones mod for CK2 last night. We were fooling around with the ruler creator and this is what we came up with:
- I was a White Walker ruling over a small county north of the wall. I was immediately overthrown by my ungrateful Wildling peasants.
- One of my friends decided to make himself a dragon who was also a dragon rider; a dragon that rides dragons; he couldn't finish his character though, because the trait dragon rider added 100 years to his age. So he chose the inbred trait. All said and done he was an inbred dragon that rode dragons.
- My other friend actually played it smart and created a Kal of the Dothraki tribes. While I was being overthrown, and our mentally challenged dragon struggled to do anything, our Dothraki friend was building up a sizable kingdom. By the end of our little play session, he had conquered all of the Grass Sea.
10/10 would do it again.

It seems that will not have money in Hearts of Iron IV.
This political graph has a dark brown color and a lighter. I wonder what it means.

I think Paradox should really stop making 4th installments and attend to Roman Empire and Medes Empire eras or even older... or something sci-fi or post-apocalyptic (in 22th century?)
These EU and HOI games are done to hell.

Only if paradox put all good innovations of Victoria II, CK II and EU IV in HOI 4 it can catch my interest.

I'm somewhat excited about playing a world war 2 Paradox game. Is HOI4 looking "good" or is HOI3 the way to go?

Look up the "After the End" mod for CK2. All hail the Kingdom of the Mouse and the Prophet Mickey!
Also, I'm pretty sure they did a game on Ancient Rome.

Rome is very much an outdated game though, an update of the series wouldn't be bad at all
and for WW2, I've not played any HoI, but my general feel is that HoI4 is shaping up nicely

In other news, CK2 and EUIV are both apparently setting up new expansions, CK2 has launched a pretty stable patch in preparation and EUIV had released some dev diaries for material both in their expansion patch and expansion DLC, as yet unnamed.

I need to get back on the CK2 bandwagon. I love Paradox but I took a break in hopes they'd stop development of DLCs so modders could catch up. Doesn't look like they will. ![]()
I guess I'll have to play some Elder Kings which doesn't need the new DLCs to work.

Back when I played - and God knows that was ages ago so take this for what it's worth - HoI 3, even with all of the expansions, was generally regarded to be an inferior game compared to Darkest Hour.
