So, I heard you can create your own alternate history with CK2>EU4. Just how far can it go?
When Vic3 and HoI4 drops, all the way till 1948 or thereabouts. Easy to mod it as far as you like though.

I guess I'll be able to have my dream Britannia simulator after all.

Imperial Federation 4life!
CK2 is the best baby murder sim I have ever played.

CK2 with the Old Gods DLC starts in 867 you can import into EUIV at 1444 and that goes until 1821

That leaves 115 years until Hearts of Iron 4. Darn.
So an update on my latest game

next step I'm thinking will be an invasion of Scandinavia or Spain, likely Spain, since the Norse thus far have been content to attack Russia
CK2 is great, I'm always playing it on my spare time.

Which country you be?

I wish there will be options to revive previous dynasties. Qajars were ****** (dumb*ss is censored! lol). I really like to play Persia as Victoria 3 as Afshar or Zand dynasty.

Britannia, formed from Wessex.
the other minor kingdoms tend to get Viking'd to death early on
So. Paradox just announced the next EU IV DLC and the next CK II DLC
http://www.pcgamer.c...ions-announced/
CK II: Charlemagne will focus on... Charlemagne (duh) and focusses around the foundation of the HRE which adds almost another 100 years to the gameplay and the fantastic option to create your own kingdom/empire level titles form smaller ones ![]()
(Though nothing about Ironmade savefile improvements...)
EU IV's Art of War will focus on the 30 years war between the protestants and catholics in Europe and makes big changes to the game: The most interesting ondes: You can declare war in favour or against rebel factions in other countries, transfer occupied territory to war allies and autotransport in fleets ![]()
Though no releasedate is know as of yet..
Does anyone like 'Conquest of Paradise' DLC of EU IV?
It produces a random American continent at the beginning of your game and it makes the game exploration less predictable.

I like the random new world as it makes it more like exploring the unkown and they made Native American gameplay much more interesting and not be totally useless compared to European nations but I absolutely HATE the colonial nations system!
It makes large scale colonisation absolutely useless as you have no control over your colonies, but they can drag you into wars and the extra income you get can be neglected..

there's an easy fix to get rid of those pesky things
go tot he defines.lua file and change the number from 4 to 999
well i apparently altered a stat I shouldn't have touched and my Britannia game crashed, so starting over as a custom ruler in 1066
Norwegians and Normans banging on the doors of my troubled kingdom
LET THEM COME
(results will be up tomorrow)
My only gripes with CK2 is how peacetime is pretty boring after you flip a few knobs 'n' levers and that it takes too long to go to war (could have helped it with De Jure titles being 50 percent instead of 51).
From what I've heard, there's also a general problem with Paradox games being that they don't properly explain the ins and outs of the game as it goes. Online guides are your only friends in this cruel world.

You should set a populated province (or whatever it is called) as your capital. Most preferably with more Castles and Cities. Upgrading your technology, castles, cities and temples is very important and somewhat amusing.

It's called "supply" I think. It was fun upgrading my province to the point of having my own private army.
Still, it involves more fast-forwarding.

Khwarazmians, man.
I don't have Old Gods so I haven't tried rezzing the Persian Empire yet.
Oh.. I meant "in Victoria 3 as ..."
Khwarazmians were the last dynasty of Persia before mongol invasion. Persia lost the rich land of Khwarazm-Bukhara-Samarkand since Timur the lame. It is improbable to consider them a dynasty for 19th century Persia.
With major improvements on Victoria 3, it will be as popular as Crusader Kings II I hope.

After defeating the first invasion of mongols, now there is the Golden Horde invasion. Don't worry... I was conquering Crimea region. That's why I have lots of unfinished business with the rebels. How could they raise a 20K rebel army (in total) and defeat my 8K anti-rebel army of India is another question!
Note 1: Byzantium is in the hands of the Hospitalers.
Note 2: Vishtasbids were ones the Arab Califs, then my subordinates took the country and now they're on their own and are ruining my plans!

Established the Persian Empire w/ the House of Karen at the head of it. Reestablished the Zoroastrian priesthood so the few million practicing Zoroastrians in Iran today can be proud.
I'll never understand the fascination with the eastern edge of the map but good Empire building all the same.
