No. Atheism is the complete lack of belief in any supernatural phenomenon of any kind. It's not faith based at all. It's the opposite of religion.
But this has nothing to do with the topic, I suggest we leave it.
True.

True.
Except you said you would do exactly that.
As I said, calling out BS in an organization is a completely different thing. The Chantry use their dogma to lock up mages, I would be in my right to call them out on it if it turns out that Andraste was a mage.
Agreed, can we reel this back into the Chantry please?

But you are doing it in a mocking way and rubbing it in everyone's faces, which you have both said you would and wouldn't do. So which is it?
Back towards the original topic.
If I had to guess. I would say; whatever the maker is would probably be something different from the Chantry believes.
Aspects of what they believe are probably true but a lot probably won't be as well.
That and biowares tendency to beat down tptb type things and kick their teeth out.
Look at how elves and the old gods/archedemons for an example or Andraste* as worshipped by the cultists.

Well, long ago with Origins they said they were going to keep the Maker ambiguous.

I would rub it in the organizations face, I would use it against them. I would still have empathy and sympathy for the individual person. I separate between personal belief and institutional belief. It's not that hard to grasp.

There is a difference, but when it comes to insulting a group it tends to send the message that the person insulting the group are also insulting those who follow said group for doing so.

Well, that's your opinion. It's all in the wording for me. You can give harsh critique without making it personal. As I said, I'm not apologizing for wanting to take down the Chantry's holier than thou attitude. If that ruffles some feathers, not really my problem. Some people are way to sensitive for their own good, I find it silly to self censor for the sake of a tiny vocal minority.
Andraste being a mage wouldn't change the dangers of mages being possed by demons, etc.
I do agree that I generally like to keep a lot of the mythology/lore in secret though I hope we can visit the Black City in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
It's possible she was possessed by a demon or spirit. Something more like Anders/Justice or Wynne and her friendly ghost.
