We know of a few companions from the other two games that are going to appear in DAI. So who do you think will be in game or who would you like to appear.

 

Companions from DA Orgins

Alisatair, Leliana, and  Morrigan are in

Wynne is dead so she out

Shale, Zevran and the Dog will not be appear in the game

So that leaves Sten and Oghren ?

 

Companions from DA Awaking

Anders (If you let him live in DA 2)

Justice, Sigrum, Nathaniel, Velanna and Justice ?

 

Companions from DA2

Varric is in

Isabella, Sebastian, Aveline, Merrill, Fenris and Carver/Bethany ?

 

DLC Companions

Tallis, ?

Finn, Aviane (Witch Hunter) ?

Jerrik Dace ?

I only want characters to return, if their appearance makes sense. That being said, id love to see Sten back, as the Arishok this time.

That's one thing I'm hoping stays constant across all world states where he's alive at the end of DA, and not just in the comics canon.

I think these characters make the most sense to return. It would make sense for Merill to come back too, but I'm not a fan of hers so I don't really care.

 

I absolutely do NOT want to see Oghren. I feel like he's gotten more than enough spotlight time with being inappropriately added into Awakening. It really made no sense to me why he was there, and DG even regrets putting him into the expansion.

One aspect of the DA franchise that has enhanced my playthroughs is the various cameos by characters from previous entries, whether they were marginal originally or appeared more prominently. 

 

I especially have liked seeing minor characters like Isabela fleshed out in a larger role, so for me I don't really require much more. I believe that Cullen may hit that sweet spot in Inquisition!

 

These types of threads have been around for a while, and I like to play along too, so ......... if the world of Thedas was my "oyster" I would rebound Athenril or Meeran, Maraas, Stroud, Charade Amell, Feynriel, and from way back when Bella.

Well, considering how unlikely it is that former companions will be effected by whatever decisions we made over the course of the past 2 games and DLCs, I'd rather not see any of them.  Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but there's little reason for me to believe that this will do anything but handwave whatever storyline I had going (not head canon, I'm talking about actual in game choices) in favor of a standardized and therefore unsatisfying plot.  The ones we've already heard of are enough for me.

I want Anders to come back even if you did kill him in DA2 just so I can kill him agian

I'd really like to see Nathaniel again and I think it would make sense if we deal with Grey wardens in Ferelden.

 

Perhaps Fenris and/or Merril since they're outcasts and wandering type. Sure it would be a weird coincidence but I'd find it more believable than running into Aveline (wouldn't leave Kirkwall imo) or Isabela (is a pirate, so what would she be doing inland).

I have to agree. There are enough returning companions as is. The world is starting to feel rather small if we end up with even more cameos. It seems that no matter where we go in Thedas we always meet the same individuals.

I hope Carver/ Beth shows up amd would love to see my Warden's Father in law again. I totally expect Fenris to show up too since they said his va is doing work for the game.

For me it would have tobe fenris, shale, bethany, isabela, sebastian and oghren. I know that some of those arnt mentioned as being in DA:i but i wouldnt put it past them to put them in a dlc which i would throw money at them to make.

I like Sten a lot, but if we see him, it's gonna be in a Qunari army. So, I'd rather not see Sten.
