There was a tweet confirming there wasn't a character creator of any sort in the Keep. Probably because the Keep doesn't have any sort of engine to do that with.

I'd say having them at the beginning of the game is the only real way to go about it - suddenly getting pulled into a CC right before you meet them would be kind of weird. From what I've gathered, the general consensus on how it'll work is if DA:I detects you've imported a save from the Keep, it'll give you CCs for your old characters. That way, new players won't be overwhelmed by stuff they have no clue about.

Ah, I didn't see that tweet.

I figured that could be one way to get it to work if they were going that route, but 3 CCs in a row might be a bit overwhelming to some.  It might be possible that appearances for our previous PCs will be sent through the Keep to DA:I along with their respective world-states, that way you're not reworking the from scratch on top of your Inquisitor.  Not sure if it'll actually happen, but we'll find out soon enough, won't we?

I agree. Plus, I find it strange that in his post, Laidlaw said it's not "the" Warden, putting the in quotes. Possibly hinting it's Orlesian Warden.

Well, it's pretty obvious that it's a Warden.  Saying that it's not the Warden was mostly so people didn't jump to too many conclusions atm.  BW wants to drag out the hype as long as possible before launch.  It does sort of hint towards it being the Orlesian WC, though.

Exactly. It makes sense.

This is my theory for one Bioware said if any of the former playable characters returned you would be able to customize them, so far we have been told there is no create a character in the Keep, well now we know that atleast Hawke will be in the game to me this means after you make your Inquisitor you will then be given the option to re-create your Hawke after that at the beginning of the game and the warden if they do make an appearance. Now on to that Warden character they showed, when Bioware said that is not "THE" Warden from ORIGINS, I took that in a different way than just oh the warden is not in it. To me it means either

1. He is a character that will appear if your warden is dead and you didn't play Awakening

2. He is the Warden Commander from Awakening if you didn't import you Warden or the Warden died.

3. He may just be a new character who for some reason is important enough to join forces with Hawke and the Inquisitor

4. If your Warden is alive it will be them who shows up with Hawke to help the Inquisitor

That to me is what they meant when they said that is not "the" Warden from ORIGINS aka it could be the one from awakening or a character to take the warden's place if they are dead.

Yuck, TC goofy superhero teamup crap in a "dark" fantasy setting yuck...

I'd rather not see "the" "my" Warden ever again than to have them team up with Hawke period.

well in the enemies of thedas trailer (or whatever it's called) we see fem hawk in champion armor. I think I saw someone in the blood dragon armor too but I am not sure.

I am not anti hawk but most wardens are MUCH better. One kills the arch demon with iron greatsword and walks through the fade like a bada** the other takes team and a bunch of templars to take down meredith. Like I said I liked hawk but the warden is far more bada##

You do realize that the Warden also has access to the dwarves, golems (possibly), Eamon's soldiers, the Templars/mages, and the Dalish/werewolves, right?

Plus, Meredith goes nutso and is powered by red lyrium.  She brings freaking statues to life and jumps around like a super saiyan.

tbh, I think that the Warden could have as much trouble taking down Meredith as they had when facing down archie.  Both archie and Meredith have back up and deal a lot of damage.  Plus, Hawke has Cullen, their companions, and possibly Nathaniel and/or Zevran helping them out, not a bunch of Templars.  Nutso Meredith could give archie a run for its money in terms of difficulty to beat, but archie would probably win in the end.  I mean, it's a freaking tainted Old God.  Not many can take down a high dragon, let alone an archdemon.

I just realized something.  If you got Hawke, the Warden, and the Inquisitor all in the same party, you'd have formed, THE LEAGUE OF PLAYER CHARACTERS!

Do you think they would briefly appear or be in the whole time like maybe Morrigan? Would they stay at skyhold?

I think it'd be a brief appearance (involvement in a main quest or two).

As for creating the Warden and/or Hawke's appearance, it may happen in a way similar to Skyrim. I imagine it like:

   1) You see a character (with camera pointed at their back) approaching our PC/party

   2) Someone notices and exclaims, "It's the Hero of Ferelden/Champion of Kirkwall!"

   3) Warden/Hawke walks and stops, with the camera pointed at their feet (front side)

   4) Slow pan from the feet up to their face

   5) Transition to CC

Hmm.... I haven't thought about that possibility.  Though, it's probably more likely that there'll be additional CCs after the one for your Inquisitor (1 if the Warden isn't confirmed, and 2 if the Warden is confirmed) at the beginning of DA:I.  BW is taking pointers from Skyrim, not CC concepts.

ARE YOU ****** KIDDING ME? what would be happen? Taking in count that my first run was a "kill all humans in my way" city elf that romanced Morrigan is obvious Hawke will endure alive less than his "relationship" with Zevran (who was slapped at the first "handsome elf" comment) I guess even Lloyd or the capitalist bastard in Lothering could endure more than Hawke, and just because their lines of text

I feel it'd be a bit jarring to have multiple CC's back-to-back (especially for newer players who may not know who the Warden and Hawke are). To be fair, I suppose it might be equally strange to have a CC mid-to-late game as well.

It'd probably be like Snook said: DA:I will probably detect an imported world-state and will gives you the additional CCs rather than give all 3 CCs regardless.  Meh, we'll find out soon enough.

Personally, I never really understood why the archdemon is considered to be more impressive in and of itself than any other dragon. It seems to me that the real threat it poses is through the innumerable darkspawn at its command. If not for the technicality involved with the taint, anyone could do it. Cassandra Penteghast is a noted dragon slayer, but she couldn't take down the archdemon because she doesn't have the darkspawn taint to use against it.

They aren't normal dragons they are most powerful creatures as far known also and they are called as such in asunder.Pretty much i assume there is good reason why tevinter gave them special place on pedestals and called them gods. Then it seems that also can cast pretty powerful magic as we can see in dao.

I'm hoping they stay at Skyhold, with The Inquisition but not part of it. Mostly I just want to see them interact with old friends and maybe some new ones.
