I got a feeling that since Bioware is saying that's not THE Warden it could be the Orlesian Warden because isn't the main Bioware cannon is the dead Mahariel.

I think it is grasping at straws, though I sure hope that would be the case. Find it a bit curios why Laidlaw would dismiss it otherwise, and not let people speculate. But what do I know.

Frankly, I am glad the big bad is not Corypheus but I wouldn't mind seeing him play a part that related to the Grey Warden though.

 

Would make sense to team up to take him down. Grey Warden is probably actually able to kill him, unlike Hawke, which is no slight against him, Hawke wasn't a grey warden.

Possibly neither.  There was a piece of concept art released quite a while ago with the Inquisitor, next to a dragon with a caption that said something along the lines of "dragon tamer".    This could be that dragon.

Reposted from the closed topic: I almost burst into happy tears in front of my coworkers when I saw hawke. So awesome bioware. Hopefully we'll get to se the warden too, but oh man, I cant believe they put in the wrok to do it. Way to exceed the bar, Bioware.

Eliminates point of the keep if you went by Bioware cannon.

I am not saying that it is the Orlesian warden, but if it is-- it would make complete sense Bioware would show the default (their canon) in the trailer. Same reason for showing the default Hawke. The Keep would obviously change who would show up with Hawke in "your game", if it is the warden, after all.

As to the trailer: I loved it and I have to admit that I squee'd a bit, even though I try to never do that.

Is it just me or does the voice in the trailer sound like Corypheus?

If I thought it sounded like any of the voice actors I've heard, it would be Iron Bull's va after being run through a filter.

There's a twist: the Big Bad is actually Iron Bull. He's been infiltrating your inquisition all along and his extreme personality is a visible thing so that once you've solved it you stop asking questions

If that being of light is Andrastre then Bioware have flat out lied previously, because if we have to become the Herald of Andrastre or something similar how the heck can we 'doubt' or oppose the biggest mortal evil in Thedas? The chantry.  Seriously every time we have contact with them or their ideology it is either incompetent or actively malevolent, leading me to believe it's obfuscating stupidity.

Amazing trailer, but if that wasn't the warden then whoever put this together must have been trying to troll us. I mean anybody who knows about Dragon age would have to know the significance of showing Hawke pop up dramatically next to a mysterious grey warden.
