My reaction basically went like this: "HOLY SH*T THIS IS CRAZY AMAZING. OMGERSH MORRIGANS LOOKS SICK. SO DOES CULLEN, HES A BADASS."

(Drops the mike and reveals Hawke)

SCREECHING* EYESMELTOUTOFSKULL*

(Dragons fighting)

SCREECHING CONTINUES* BRAIN EXPLODES*

In all seriousness this is going to be the best dragon age yet. Possibly best bioware game ever.

Warden and Hawke.

We better get a say in how they look. At least gender and skin tone.

Well I went with default female hawke for my playthrough. Except she was a rouge not a mage. Knowing how connected people are with their characters from DA. Bioware will most likely will let us choose how they (Hawke/Warden) will look. Would be a good thing to add in dragon age keep.

The trailer was so awesome! So cool that we get to see Hawke, if we get the warden as well that'd be sweeeeet.

I do hope that the inquisitior doesn't start the game with the warden and Hawke as temporary companions, who then die after about an hour. Its gotten me more interested in the game seeing that trailer, but i'm not going to rush out and buy on the day of release.

If that being of light is Andrastre then Bioware have flat out lied previously, because if we have to become the Herald of Andrastre or something similar how the heck can we 'doubt' or oppose the biggest mortal evil in Thedas? The chantry.  Seriously every time we have contact with them or their ideology it is either incompetent or actively malevolent, leading me to believe it's obfuscating stupidity.

Andraste is not the same thing as the Chantry. For all you know the Chantry's beliefs about Andraste could be irrelevant or flat out wrong. It could be possible to use Andraste's power while not supporting the Chantry's beliefs.

Cool trailer. I am pretty sure we get to create Hawke + the warden's appearance in the keep, though.

Not that I think the being of light *is* Andraste, but if it is, unless she starts speaking in blatant truths, there's still plenty to doubt about the Chantry.  Not going to draw real world parallels, but just for starters....which Chantry tradition is correct?  The Tevinter Chantry or the Orlasian?  What is the truth of Maferath's betrayal?  Of Hessarian's mercy?

She was a historical figure, around whom a religion was posthumously formed.  Her rebellion may have been purely political, with religious overtones added after her death.  The foundation of the Chantry upon her legend, may have been pure expediency.  What if she truly was nothing more than a powerful mage?  Andraste is nebulous, the pure truths about her mostly forgotten or exaggerated by legend.  If she were included in the game, it in no way means that the Chantry becomes beyond reproach.  Indeed, if Andraste *were* to appear, it could destroy everything the organization has built.

IF we were going to have one of your previous characters appear, we would absolutely give you a chance to change his or her look.

What does it matter?

If they're going to be NPCs and you're not going to have control over what they do or say or any aspect of their character in-game, what does being able to change how they look do for you?

If they're going to appear, it should be at the end and you should actually control them.

Do the ending in a way where all three of them, under the player's control, would have to work together to reach the end goal.

Well the Keep doesn't have a CC, so it'd have to be in-game somehow.

Uh, immersion? You know, seeing a character that you made yourself in the previous game? I mean, the default look would ruin it for people. At least you can headcanon a change in personality. You can't headcanon plastic surgery into Thedas.

Well that is the tricky part.

Personally I'm not that bothered. I'm more than happy of them making an appearance at all in the first place. Perhaps they won't act as my in-game version I've created, but as long as they don't say anything too drastic or something similar, I'm cool.

It looks quite interesting overall, I am still excited.

There's one thing, however... the animations. They look stiff, I don't know... almost like there's missing frames in them. It's not every time and everywhere (in the trailers, but also in post-E3 footage), but there's some scenes where characters move strangely (either their arms, their head movement, their legs, etc)... not sure which words I should use to properly describe it. I guess that saying that they aren't as smooth and as "natural" as they could be (or should be) looking is the closest to an accurate description I can get.

Other than that anyway it looks good and I'm certainly still planning to buy the game on day one. I'm still waiting until the end of GamesCon to decide if I'll actually pre-order it (and if I do it'll be the Deluxe Edition).

Awesome trailer. Really, made my day. Just...it only shows bits taken from the game itself, right? Surely looks so but would love to be reassured.

now you shall be tried, and if you are found to have been involved in any way with the kidnap of children to the circle, or the making tranquil of any mage, or spreading dogma that supported that will be found guilty of the appropriate crimes

They've already said the Keep doesn't have appearance customisation.

It'd be in the game, if it's there.

Yes!

This is one of the most interesting parts of Inquisition, to me - the nature of faith and how it forms, and how religious traditions are distorted by time and politics.

Well part of the keep is not just how they look but rather choices they made and how they interacted with others. Warden was a silent protagonist so that is always a challenge to bring back in a full Vo game. (Revan in swtor for example). Hawke not only have a voice tho but a tone based on your dialogue and choices.

I was pleased with the trailer. I mean I still would prefer more skyholf info but with delay they may wait another month for that.
