Mike Laidlaw has told us that we'll be able to customize any returning PCs. He's also said that the Warden in the image is not the DA:O Warden.

At least let us customize their appearances if they're going to show up in game, even if they're still cameos or NPCs.

Judging by their somewhat blank-ish, non-prerendered faces, my guess is part of character creation will be creating a look for your personal canon Warden and Hawke.

Nope, "BioWare canon" has an "Ultimate Sacrifice" Dalish Warden.

That isn't the canon for the comics. That's the default if you don't import anything from the Keep.

Eh, that's clearly Hawke and clearly a Grey Warden in some weird Fade like setting. It may not be from the default DA:I world state of the US Warden but from some other one.

I'm 100% sure since that our Warden and Hawke are in the game physically, we will be able to re-create them. Probably in CC.

Well, that's going to be pretty hard to accomplish, considering that the Keep lets you chose the class, gender and Origin of your Wardens. And Hawkes.

 

How they will handle the physical appearance of all the different Wardens, I have no idea.

 

Nevertheless, I'm tickled pink that they are actually featured on-screen. No more of this "there are rumors that..." or fleeting mentions of their whereabouts.

 

Hawke and the Warden are there, part of the world. And facing a gigantic monster with, hopefully, the Inquisitor right beside them.

I thnk too much customisation is a little too much to hope for.

 

I will be very disappointed if we can't choose gender, race, class and backstory. So I guess there might be a few different "caon" looks.

Like the male or female Hawke and what class they were.

 

And then human, dwarf or elven Warden.

 

And I guess those two are the "Canon" - which is strange cause the Wardens ears don't look elven to me.

Oh wait, just remembered, the Warden dies in that canon. Nevermind

Alistair is canon King and why would Alistair be with Hawke? That's the Warden.

 

Alistair is canon in however you import your choices to The Keep. In my game, he's a warden. And he's there with Hawke because he and Hawke are obviously helping to fight in the Inquisition. Why does it make any less sense for Warden Alistair to be fighting alongside of Hawke, but it makes total sense for Warden Your Character to be fighting alongside Hawke?

Maybe that's canonical Hawkes and Warden-Commander from Inquisition. The Orlesian one you get if you don't import, but would presumably exist if your Warden died as well.

Freaking agreed! Come on guys, they aren't going to bring them back and show their faces unless they are going to let us customize them.
