I mean... what's the point of keeping the secret if we already know that the Hawke will appear?

I've given up trying to find any logic in Bioware's annoucements, it's nonsensical.

It's like an absudist play, just disconnect your brain and go with it.

I think that theory is far too convoluted - you're relying on a specific interpretation of Mike's tweet and a specific combination of import circumstances, but he's not trying to trick you.

More likely that the blond Warden is someone new who we've never met.

Why would random Warden #572 be chilling with Hawke and the Inquisitor? Occam's Razor.

I've been reading tweets, hints and leaks since ME3

Bioware can be a bit predictable in their patterns...

Quite likely it is DA:A Warden. Makes sense and explain all the mystery and hinting. Be it not true, they would just... explain things. All the "spoilers" they keep repeating are quite suspicious. Why not say: "No, it's not the Warden from DA:O or DA:A"?

It's probably not Random Warden #572, though.

It's Significant Warden Character Who We Haven't Met Yet.

Forgive me if I remain skeptical while tempering my expectations.

I don't agree. Not the Origins Warden also means not the Awakenings Warden - not any player character Warden.

It's a different character, I feel.

The problem with this is that if you look at the post she quoted, someone was asking to clarify if that meant it wasn't the hero from Awakening, and he deflected the question.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that that's the case.  Is it certain?  Obviously not.  But given that he's answering questions like that with River Song saying 'spoilers', or in the second post a spoiler from Books 4/5 of Game of Thrones, in code  (seriously, if you haven't read the books don't decipher  lol), it seems clear that he considers answering whether or not it is the Orlesian Warden to be a spoiler.  ;)

He said "the" Warden from Origins, the Hero of Ferelden

We may argue if Awakening is Origins or not, but the Orlesian Warden definitelly can not be the Hero of Fereldan. This title is given only to the destroyer of the Archdemon

The siblings always had black or grey hair, to match up with every possible variation of Hawke.

(Blond hair makes zero sense if the Hawke family could be black.)

Where are you getting the idea that it's default armour?

It's not The Warden.  So what we saw was probably just a plain ol' NPC Warden.

I find that weird to be honest. Not sure why they'd include a shot like that to display Hawke and a generic no body. If the purpose was to show Hawke, then a solo shot would have made no sense.

All though it could be part of a thing to get people talking.

Why would it be weird to have a nobody stand beside Hawke? I mean we don't even know what's going on in that scene.

First image that pops up when you google "grey warden default armor":

Spoiler

I'm with Chari.  Seemed like the default rogue armor, to me, personally.

Because its a reveal and a talking point, put in there for a reason. People are going to run and run with it. Some people don't check the forums and will be hype that "Oh hey its Warden!"

Usually trailer shots are all crafted with a reason.

Also, why would that guy have made some ambiguous tweets about it being the Orlesian Warden from DA:A when a lot of people had the same Warden.

Wasn't it confirmed that the DA:A Warden default was Stroud?

Maybe that's canonical Hawkes and Warden-Commander from Inquisition. The Orlesian one you get if you don't import, but would presumably exist if your Warden died as well.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. If your Warden survives in Origins it will be them otherwise it will be the Orlesian Warden whether you played Awakening or not. Also does anyone else think that your Warden will be addressed by their surname as opposed to "Warden" or "Warden-Commander"?

Actually the Awakening Warden is a fairly significant Warden, having dealing with the Architect and all that. After all the Origins warden just dealt with a blight, which really was just tuesday for Thedas, where sentient Darkspawn are much more Thedas-shattering, he might even be the most significant Warden since the first ones.

This, and the fact that clarifying things about the Awakening warden is spoiler material, while somehow the Origins warden is not, leads me to believe that it is in fact the Awakening warden, which happen to be the Orlesian warden in that particular appearance.

I guess if it isn't the DAO Warden, but is the DAA Warden, it could be that if you didn't play Awakening you don't get the appearance?

If you did play DAA with the same one, then you get DA:O him/her?

Playing the games is not relevant since the choices will be done via the Keep which includes all the DLC choices.
