This. And maybe that's Alistair. I don't get how people say "That can't be Alistair, it doesn't look like him." Really? Same hair color, same hair style, same pointy nose? Hazelish eyes? Same Grey Warden armor that he was wearing when he met Hawke during the battle in Kirkwall with the Qunari? Is carrying a big long sword in his hand? And if you want to say it still doesn't look like him, well, Cullen looks pretty different from Origins, to DA2, to Inquisition, also.

He doesn't like anything like Alistair, geeze

Cullen still resembles himself despire some changes. Lelianna and Morrigan look like themselves

And if they use the default state, then Alistair is the king, not a GW

I can believe that that's Alistair alongside femHawke because he looks fug compared to the original, and Alistair got progressively fuglier in DA2 so why not make him look the worst in DAI?

 

And if Hawke is in DAI, the Warden most definitely will be in it too, IMO. The issue with voices is moot anyway, because neither character will be voiced in DAI. I'm betting they'll make glorified cameos, at best.

I can see that after the battle we'll have a dialogue like this:

The Inquisitor: Thank you for your help, Hawke, Warden

The Hawke: No problem, always glad to help in killing some nasty demons

The Warden: *opens mouth to say something, when suddenly a loud blast happens and everyone gets kicked out of the Fade*

And thanks for the side-by-side comparison, Chanda. Gawd, having my memory refreshed as to how Alistair looked like in DA2 just makes me go, ugh...the one from the comic actually isn't too bad, but nothing can beat the original...sigh...ahhh...

I don't think he looks too bad, whoever he is, but he looks way too young to be Alistair.

 

That could be due to the lighting, and maybe he's not finished, yet. Hawke also looks pretty young, and I'm chalking it up to the lighting.

IMHO mr.Laidlow is suspiciouly specific about this warden not being the warden from DA:O yet no mention of DA:A whatsoever

Uh-uh, no. It's a full add-on, it is even installed as a separate game. If Laidlow meant it, he would mention DA:A as well

That is not the Hero of Ferelden / the main PC from Origins.

I'll just explain to them that Alistiar was always ugly; the taint just affected the Warden's perception.

Perhaps they did not add the Warden because the Warden does not speak? Like at all? Ever? Seeing as the Orelsian Warden shared the same characteristics...

 

It is far easier to add in Hawke, who had a voice throughout the entirety of DA2.

 

Of course this disregards my original point that Awakening is Origins. Awakening is no different than DA2's Legacy/Mark of the Assassin. Whether you call it an expansion or an add-on it is still ORIGINS.

 

As such there is NO justifiable reason to claim otherwise since it is NOT considered an entirely separate game by the developers. If it was we would have got Awakening instead of DA2.

 

 

I'll just explain to them that Alistiar was always ugly; the taint just affected the Warden's perception.
