While I switched a few outfits on Morrigan in DAO for effects or jest, I often kept the iconic look for aesthetics. Having the option was nice, but is understandable that it was not part of a demo.

I'm also a little worried about this, the devs are amazing so I hold all my faith in them, but it would have been nice to see her in at least something slightly different to her iconic look.

Her old outfit has a high recognition value, that's all.

You really want to add time travel to the DA universe? IMO That is a can of worms that shouldn't be opened. Just because she wears the same cloths from 10 years ago doesn't mean she is some Magic mirror Stargate thingy time traveller. It's a bit of a stretch

Maria may not have been entirely serious.

Who cares? The important part is that her face looks 10 times better than it did in the reveal trailer for Inquisition (IMO).

Hawke is around the 30's range, yet by the looks of the trailer she's still in her early 20's

Don't really know enough to comment, as for all we know Morrigan could have spent a lot of time in the Elluvian before being deposited right there so anything could have happenned

-Stuck in the fade

-Trapped in a dimension

-Elluvian was broken and she was trapped inside only to be released when the viel tears began

-Got transported into the future

Again we don't know enough about the story to really comment about why she is wearing the same clothes.

It's been around 10 years, she might have had a child (depending on your game) and yet she's wearing the exact same outfit she wore in DA:O?

The iconic appearances are the new multimedia of gaming industry.

Considering I've been known to wear articles of clothing until they start to noticeably fray, I've had some sweaters and shirts for over ten years. It's not unheard of to be partial to clothing you like.

At any rate, my guess is that Morrigan's "classic" outfit is what she wears in fights and while exploring, and she wears something else in her downtime in orlais.

Really, though, when Morrigan finally does show up I'll be so psyched about her just being in the game that I won't really care about what she's wearing, if I'm being honest.

She looks great. You don't wear a ball gown and high heels in the woods. She was raised in the woods, her outfit works. Maybe it has a OFF enchantment against bugs. Her old clothes had a protect from cold enchantment didn't they?I've got a couple of sweat shirts that if anyone touches they die. Time for coffee.

I hope it's just placeholder or something, it's written Alpha build on the top left(still using the Alpha build to showcase the game? Seriously?). She really has no reason to be in that attire. Back in DA:O, she just got out of the wilds so she was dressed like that, but now, I see no way to explain why she would continue to be wearing that outfit.

Maybe she doesn't care about her clothes because she spends most of her time in animal form? That's my guess.

She looks like a harassed mother in this picture. OGB is obviously turning out to be a bit of a handful - must be hereditary.

It's called an iconic look. Intriguing puzzle to crack, I'm sure, but there it is laid out on the table for ya.

While the whole "iconic look" thing is valid, yes, it's been over ten years. Even the most hidebound person is bound to change clothes once or twice over that time.

If you factor any sort of time advancement into the equation, things like that begin to look a little silly.

I'm sure there can be a headcanon'd reason why she's still wearing it.

People have been known to own more than one copy of an item of clothing... *glances at wardrobe, sees 4 identical or at least damned near identical black shirts, 3 whites".

Same. People confuse me for wearing the same shirts because I get similar ones all the time.
