A Dragon pretty clearly saves you from another dragon in the trailer. Just a coincidence, or is this dragon on your side?
"Training" Dragons?

Well, the leaked 'Achievement' list did have one about taming a dragon.

It can be Flemeth/Morrigan/Urthemiel, or what you said.
Anyway, interesting.
Ah right, I hadn't thought of Flemeth with all the hype tonight. D'oh! ![]()

There was another Shot in the Trailer that looked very much like the Concept Art "Dragon Tamer", too...
I need to see this ![]()
Should've named this thread "The Dragon Fight In The Trailer" Ah well ![]()

Flemeth is purple, the dragon that saved us looked a lot like the 'Iron Bull' Dragon, though I may be mistaken. We did only get a very small glimpse at it but I really don't think it was Flemeth.

Conversely, maybe our big bad takes the form of a dragon at some point, but in another dragons territory. Maybe it was just being protective.
Yes, this is probably the least exciting option.

Yes, but all the high dragons in DAO and DA2 were purple; that wasn't a special Flemeth thing. With the dragon re-design for DAI, I imagine Flemeth would now look just like them... totally not purple anymore.
*shrugs*
I've only watched the clip once, but my mind immediately thought the dragon that gets tackled looked sort of like the Archdemon-style of dragon. And first thought was that tackler might be Flemeth.
100% speculation, obviously.

The dragon in the new trailer looked like the Ferelden Frostback. There is another dragon in earlier trailers which is purple in colouring, and I asked if these two were different species on twitter. The answer was yes.
We also have that other dragon in this trailer, the more snub nosed looking one.

I immediately thought Flemeth.
Neither of the dragons looked particularly like the dragons in either DA:O or DA II.

In 1st edition Dungeons and Dragons you could 'subdue' dragons by beating them into submission only using blunt instruments and the flat blade of swords. They then under certain circumstances would serve you for a short period of time.

Isn't Flemeth bailing out the PC part of the Dragon Age Formula?

Quick question did that icy blue dragon have horns?

My first instinct was to think we were fighting alongside a non-corrupted Old God. But the Flemeth/Morrigan or even a tamed dragon does sound a lot more plausible.

Maybe that is the one companion that won't leave you at the end, your sweet sweet dragon. ![]()

I think Taming a dragon achievement is more to 'taming' it as in defeating it. You brought the beast to its knees(if dragons have any).
I believe the dragon is returning the favor to the Inquisitor if he/she chooses to spare the dragon's life. I don't think taming as in the Inquisitor could call the dragon to swoop down and burn his/her enemies as he wish.

True that the dragons in both games were of the same colour, though to me the similarities end there. Flemeth's Dragon form has a lighter coloured underbelly as well as a wider head and a much more Impressive display of horns.

There's a mage girl in Dawn of the Seeker named Avexis who can control dragons. What with Cassandra's involvement it could be the same girl, or we could come to control them by a similar method.

This looks really intriguing. I hope I can manage to pull it off. Talk about acquiring a cool war asset.
