The male Inquisitor can ware makeup!

Does this lead to possible transgender PC options and other non-gender restricted customization options? :D

Or do you think it's just for guy liner?

What do you think?

Remember that the game also isn't finished. The character creation isn't finalised, and the make up option could simply be removed for male characters before release.

I'm all for giving players more options. Just don't necessarily get your hopes up until BioWare comments on it.

Makeup doesn't necessarily mean transgender.   Some men just want to look pretty when they're out fighting evil.

I think being transgender might be a bit more than men being able to wear make-up.

I'm just saying...

Though I like that option being available. Much like I'd appreciate the option to change the female PC's walking animation.

Given the setting not surpised, makeup would be common for touch up and other things with how they have done some countries and history in lore.

Don't think its a matter of transgender depending on how it is done. Makeup for guys does exist after all and has for some time.

Just my two bits.

I'm pretty sure it's just guyliner and maybe some shadow. Sims also allowed men to wear limited make up too.

Could also mean face paint, but whatever I would support it if it did mean possible transgender options.

Warpaint is technically makeup, now that I think about it.

If it does mean that you have the option to play as transgender, then that's amazing! I would love that. But don't get your hopes up.

Oh god. This. I loved the Gamescom demo, but if there's one thing I really didn't like, it's the tiny female Inquisitor and her dainty movement animation. I would really appreciate a "Movement Style" option during character creation.

I can't think of any games that do. It'd be awesome and groundbreaking for bioware to do that.

Could be where the freckles are located.  Guyliner is nice, but freckles are important.

I'm going to have to second transgender means more than men being to wear makeup. A lot more. Men wear makeup all the time and aren't transgender and conversely not everyone who is transgender wears makeup.

I know we're all caught up in the excitement of it all, but that doesn't mean you need to make a thread for every idea that pops into your head.

This is exciting since it does indicate that there might be a greater degree of customization, allowing for varied gender presentations. Other things that would help: allowing you to choose hair regardless of body, allowing your Inquisitor to choose from all 4 voices, allowing you to change your walk animation etc. Many people already have trans and non-binary Hawkes and Wardens. Having makeup or a lack of makeup is by no means an indicator of one's gender. Its certainly an exciting detail to see though. Good catch :)

Then again it doesn't matter if you are male, female or inbetween since Bioware doesn't show the goods anyway.

The option could also be grayed out when highlighting it because of it possibly being a female only option in the CC. But who knows, we'll see.
