So now that Mass Effect 2 is ruined, what do you plan to play instead?

Weren't you the same weirdo who asked for underage romancable female characters in DA:O and later again for ME2? Even though the answer for the second time would've been identical to the answer you got the first time. :')

No doubt Bioware/EA hasn't helped, since they're trying to get new buyers into it which requires some revelation, but it is not hard to avoid these things, you just get caught up in the excitement, realize it's not coming for another month, so you go online and look for some vids. It's only our fault how much we know.

No I asked for romancable teens.  I never said underage.  I like them young, not illegal.

you're totally right, whether or not the game is "spoiled" before hand determines what game I'm getting to and how much I'll enjoy it.. Get over it, enjoy the game!

So did you not watch Lord of the Rings because everyone knew for over half a century that Gollum falls into Mount Doom? Did you not watch Avatar because, surprise, the good guys win? Its the journey, not just the destination. Stop whining folks, and anyway a lot of the spoilers were trolls anyway.

...Ruined? Because you couldn't recognize a spoiler fast enough and stop yourself from continuing to read it?

Like, a game is only a story? Even though it's graphics and gameplay are near perfection, the game has a lot of extras, awesome dialogue, etc etc. You read a bit of the story, and now it's not good anymore?

Not to mention you expect everyone else to have been just as stupid and read the spoilers as well, and to feel exactly the same as you?

Get a grip, and stop whining.

Lot of "pick up my toys and go home attitude" in this thread. Bioware spent years making this game and there are still dozens of quests, side plots, character interactions and the like. Even IF you somehow got a major plot area spoiled, is it not still fun encountering it on your own terms? Considering most games these days have extremely predictable plots anyway. Guess what, spoiler alert, in Dragon Age, the blight is ended!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!

so you read a ton of stuff on here then get pissed when you get spoilers...

...a little ironic don't you think?

It wasn't spoiled for me- I spent my day hanging out with a WWII vet and his wife, the first female aerospace engineer in my state.

Still going to play, and hope the spoilers weren't true for your guys' sake.

Spoilers are all part of a games forum, no matter how big the 'don't post spoilers' sticky might be. Wishing otherwise won't change it, unless the forum moderators happen to have the speed of ninjas on crack in removing any spoiler post. If you're still on a game forum with less than 2 weeks to go until release, then you've only yourself to blame.

I'm sorry, but that is total nonsense. Were talking about several hours where spoliers were allowed to sit all over the forum because no moderators were on. Moderating a forum is not difficult nor does it require a high degree of skill and can be done from just about anywhere you can access a computer and the internet. All it takes is dilligence and having the time to patrol the various threads people are posting in, and arranging shifts so that one person is always on, and that person having the authority and access to moderate. There are MANY sites that manage to do this because they know that protecting their property and their community is important and self beneficial. No, you can't stop everyone from posting things that violate the rules immediately, but you can sure as hell deal with it within a short time. Blaming the fans and the people who are excited about playing ME2 and who want to talk about the game on the developers own site, is, I am 100% positive, not Bioware's feeling about this.

Now there is a sensable answer, I like to just enjoy the ride too, heck I am still waiting for it on PC, I don't do consoles, call me an old gassious purist if you want to. Image IPB

Some spammers made up a fake ending claimed it as a spoiler, and now the OP thinks said ending is true and will not play ME2 because it's "ruined".

I would think that if knowing a games ending has such a negative impact on whether you play the game or not you would simply avoid learning anything about it in the first place.

Besides good story telling isn't about the destination, its about the journey. You only spend about 30 min tops on the end while you spend the other countless hours getting there.
