If you look at the BioWare site map, the corrupted Lyrium Thaig in the Deep Roads is under the Vimmark Mountains,
so it could be that too.
Those mountains just need to be bulldozed or something...

I was really hoping we could go to Halamshiral. Just thought it be nice to go to a big city filled mostly with elves
I want to know where that desert excavation site seen in a Cole screenshot and a concept image is. Because I'm pretty sure it's not in Orlais or Ferelden since warmer places are farther north.
Edit: On second thought, it might be that orange area by the Western Approach.
in the demo, they clicked on a mission for nevarra, the devs already said we will not hit nevarra, so im gonna go out on a limb and say we are not able to travel to half of these places. For ferelden, I wouldnt expect more than what has already been shown, IE Redcliffe and the hinterlands would be the only places to visit
Some of these locations could simply be places where we send in agents to resolve a situation or to gather allies.
I will be fascinated to understand the mechanic whereby the war table displays:
And to leave Skyhold do you have to run down to the front gate
or can a mission be initiated from the war table?

I hope this is the case. If Skyhold is really big, it'll be annoying to have to leave through the front gate manually each time.

As I understood the video, it's initiated from the war table. But they never show us so I might be wrong.

I saw that, it does look likely to be straight from the war table.
The star thingy over Denerim is Kal'Hirol, right?
"In the epilogue, it is mentioned that Kal'Hirol is cleared of darkspawn, and eventually the dwarves of Orzammar attempt to reclaim it. House Helmi ultimately leads a host of dwarvesto clear the Deep Roads between Orzammar and Kal'Hirol and, though the losses were great, they are ultimately successful in 9:31 Dragon."
