Frankly I thought the latest trailer was a complete mess, it had no narrative and was basically just a 2 minute long mash of random people saying things over chaotic moments and cinematics. 

 

However I do feel glad that none of it meant anything to me. (I did one casual play through of DAO in 2010, and only ever completed the first act of DA2. Never read any of the expanded universe stuff). So I feel like I'll be new to the franchise again, and get to 're-learn' about the universe and all the novelty, which is good.

I've decided that I'll be going on blackout after PAX Prime at the end of this month/start of the next one. I know almost everything I want to know now, and I'd hate to get spoiled for stuff I don't want to know.

Trailers and reveals are not concerned with story or confuse such matters in a way that only can be understood when playing.

They are like movie trailers, they should excite not spill and typically use cinematics & gameplay from the early part of a game.

 

Speculation on this forum is just that, speculation.

 

The problem comes when someone outside of BioWare's sphere of influence gets their hands on the game itself, usually a few days ahead of launch, then's the time to keep your head down. Actually, with EA Access any time after the first week of November will be deadly

After seeing the Enemies of Thedas trailer that just came out, I think I need to leave this place. Despite the fact that I want to know more and more about this game, I don't think I can do another overload like that. I've got too much hype and I need to cool it down a bit so no more DA: I info for me, I'm done. I don't want to be possibly spoiled so I'm signing out and returning Nov. 18th. Not that anyone cares I'm sure but, yeah.
