In the lore, every single documented case of people and dragons, i.e. high dragons or Old Gods, involved the people either being attacked, and dying, killing the dragon, or simply being indoctrinated via Dragon Cults.  I may have missed some stuff, but I doubt it.  Either its Morrigan or Flemeth, or it is the first friendly dragon to have ever been witnessed in the recorded/ known history of Thedas.

To me, Flemeth or Morrigan are much more likely.

And why so centric on horns?  Aye, Flemeth's dragon form had horns, but Flemeth was also killed by the Hero of Ferelden.  Maybe she lost some power?

And if it is Morrigan, why should her dragon form be as powerful as her Mother's?  And why should it have horns?  In Origins, Morrigan's first-stage shapeshift animal forms were pretty normal animals, albeit the giant spider.  The animals didn't look more "magical" and dangerous until she gained enough experience.  Morrigan likely could have learned the new dragon form recently, and thus she hasn't gained enough experience using it yet for it to "level" into a more brutal form, like Flemeth's.  That is why the dragon seems to be a plain green high dragon.

It could also be another shapeshifter. Flemeth might not be the only one around with that knowledge.

I personally think it's a shapeshifter though and it's going to take a few case of saving the Inquisitor before we found out who it is.

That was actually Cassandra's doing. She made the smaller dragon collide with the bigger one: she damaged one of its wing so it changed direction and controlled it's head like a horse, it helped that it didn't have long to live though.

Ahh. Well, Avexis can control dragons or something, at least. I've only read about what happens in DotS.  ^_^

So that type of power seems like a legit possibility for this scene, outside of the mundane sort of "taming" or it being a shapeshifter.

Could be an aspect of the "Reaver" class.

If we work on the assumption there's a back story to it; you may start out as part of a dragon cult or some such thing.

Not sure if this was stated yet; Flemeth's form has 4 horns.

I like to assume Morrigan's form has 2.

5 horns! Two on each sides and one on the top of her head like and an unicorn.

In her breakdown of the video, Lady Insanity pointed out that the Inquisitor had a horn on his belt, like the one used to summon the dragon in DAO.

But who say Flemeth's dragon have to look the same every time? But it's also green. I'm not sure Morrigan would turn in to a dragon at all and if she did it would be black-ish. So I'm thinking a new character? An old god? A friendly dragon? Maybe it's the Warden transformed? :P

Btw, I hope we get to see an old god as they look before they are corrupted.

My first thought was that it was Flemeth or maybe Morrigan. But after the 4 horns argument, I'm thinking it was Morrigan.

Oh, well then maybe I was wrong. I'm kind of hoping that this is it.

Now, this is stretching it but.. I'm hoping that if you're a warrior or a rogue you can summon a dragon like that, but if you are a mage, you can become a dragon.. I know this is unlikely, but I can dream.

Lets not forget that Morrigan has us get Flemeth's grimiore.  She could have learned the dragon shape shifting spell from that as well, along with probably a lot of hte magic that she will be using in Inquisition to manipulate the empress.  Something tells me Morrigan may end up being an antagonist at some point in the Dragon Age saga.

Wasn't that before the Hero of Ferelden killed her?  Maybe something changed when she "resurrected", who knows.

Flemeth-Dragon-form-dragon-age-origins-1Why would resurrecting change her dragon form? If anything she found a new host and that might have altered the appearance, but I doubt it.

Common sense

Meh.  Flemeth's human form is different in Origins and 2, common sense would probably say her dragon form could change appearances as well...  It would all depend on how Flemeth want's to look...

Changing clothes and changing scales and horns are hardly the same thing. I just see no reason why she would change her dragon form.

.... You're trying to tell me that Flemeth only changed her clothes between meeting the Warden and saving Hawke?

Flemeth changed her whole human body structure.  If she can do that, she can probably add/remove/replace/alter the horns on her dragon head, as well as change her dragon's skin pigmentation.

I don't see much of a reason for Flemeth to change her dragon form either, but I also don't see much of a reason for her to allow the piece of her soul released at Sundermount if she doesn't get killed by the Warden...  Flemeth does **** that we might find strange because we don't know what her goal is.

Ah, yes! I forgot about the elven girl who drank dragon blood and could awaken 3-4 high dragons and control to destroy val royeux.

Why is no one talking about her?
