This game has been on my list for a long ....long time (2012) this was the first Dragon Age game i've played. I was just about to finish act 1 until i found Dragon Age Origin's the first one in the series at my local game shop , back then i didn't think i'd be able to find it so i just kept playing 2 but since i found it , I put DA2 on hold and started playing Origin's and i loved it
maybe a little too much. I've wanted to know more and more in this world I started playing it over and over again different Origin's , new playstyles in classes it's 2014 now and I still have the Dwarf Commoner Origin left I've played the rest just not the Commoner.
I'm getting to the point in Origin's where i've done everything already i know the weaknesses of every enemie way's to beat this boss way's too level up and get more money faster i'm just tired of it now. lol
I wanted to enter 2 with a import save but i can't seem to finish Origin's again due to lack of interest now since i've already done everything lol so my question is , how big are the import changes to Origin's to 2. ?
It's been so long lol i'm finally going to return to Kirkwall thank the maker there's only one story to Hawke
.
It's about time I start playing this game (Import changes)

I don't remember many things (couple of cameos can change )...in 2 you have like maybe 3 default state world you can choose.
If you're on pc , you can find a save creator to recreate a save file.

Gibbed has a save game creator, google will find it and you can input most of the big decisions from DAO.

It's not a mod, it's a separate program that generates a DAO endgame save. Now thinking about this makes me wish for the Keep to be online, I want to start tweaking my DAI worldstates now!

Even then i don't wish to use it , thank you for telling me about this i might use it in later playthroughs if i play it again lol. The default choices are fine by the amount of time's i've played Origin's i might have already done one of them ![]()

In the end it doesn't matter as DAI will have a similar but much more robust endstate generator and our savegames won't be imported.

Yeah i read about that , so this whole time i'm just laughing at myself for worrying about Save Import's lol i'm treating it as if it's Mass Effect.

Ha, I'm the same. I was concerned as my DAO endsave didn't trigger the Morrigan romance slides properly.

You can use a save from any point in Origins, it doesn't have to be endgame and any decisions you've made will carry over. It affects a few side quests in DA2, but not in a big way. There are also a few cameos. The only thing that mattered to me was Avernus's experimental draught which I only got by importing a save where I'd done Soldier's peak and allowed him to continue his work. It gives you +2 attributes so not a huge bonus. There is also a quest to rescue Howe if you got as far as recruiting him in awakening.

Practically all your "imported" decisions are head-canoned without ever actually being mentioned in DA2. The 3 defaults choose Alistair, Anora (with Alistair exiled), or Alistair/Anora (although this joint leadership isn't mentioned) as Ferelden's leaders. The default imports also mention in their description if Morrigan's ritual was done but it's never brought up in-game.
There are a few import save variations I can recall.
- If Isabela slept with the warden and possibly another companion
- A short dalish encounter with a human that varies if the werewolf curse was lifted
- Swindlers trying to sell "Andraste's ashes" if the urn was preserved and revealed to the world
- A side-quest that's different if Amaranthine was spared/destroyed
- In my import Anders and Leandra mention that the Hero of Ferelden was a mage, and Cullen thinks about her
- A side-quest if Zevran lived
- A side-quest if Nathaniel Howe was a warden and lived and another if he died
- A side-quest if Bhelen was made king
-
Most of these options appear in default imports. Unless there is a DA:O pc you're passionate about importing you're not missing really anything by just choosing one of the default imports. It's not like Mass Effect 2.
