Male Qunari.
Warrior, Champion.

Race: Qunari
Gender: Female
Class: Mage
Specialization: No specialization (tricky because I'm not sure yet, given the only one we know is Knight Enchanter)
Traits: Aggressive, Focused, Introverted, Commanding
There is nuance in the traits of course...I plan to play this character as someone wholly devoted to closing the rifts. I'm loosely basing her on Angelina Jolie's Maleficent, so her having her hand marked and being tasked with closing the rifts is analogous to Maleficent having her wings severed and seeking revenge against Stefan.
She's not an immoral or amoral person per se, but one who will likely have to put these considerations aside given the position she's in. She's also aggressive in her devotion to the cause; she may be gruff, but she's not going to be unnecessarily hostile or vindictive or anything like that...to allies.
A complicated Maleficent Inquisitor.
Nice! ![]()
Kinda disspointed 'Inquisitive' isn't under Character Traits OP
Why didn't I think of that?
It would be a rubbish inquisition if the Inquisitor is not inquisitive.
I probably need to make Oberyn Martell inspired rogue as well...
I want to play a sarcastic/diplomatic Inquisitor, it will be a rogue and his first specialization will be assassin. That's what I've always been playing since the first game and I don't see no need to change.
My Main:
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Mage
Specialization: Rift Mage
Traits: Lawful, Comedian, Lover, Commanding, Moral, Charming and Friendly.
So basically Bruce Willis with Hair.
Me: Finally. I got through.
Bruce: Who are you?
Me: I'm your ... agent.
Bruce: You don't sound like my agent.
Me: I have a cold.
Bruce: So you sound British when you have a cold?
Me: I guess I do. Anyway, I have an acting role for you.
Bruce: I'm busy!
Me: It's an amazing acting role. It's ya voice over role for Dragon Age Inquisition.
Bruce: What?
Me: You'll be voicing the Inquisitor.
Bruce: Sorry hun, I don't know what you're talking about. [Puts the phone down].
That phone call could have gone better.
Well at least I tried. [Sigh].
I guess I'd have to call Bioware to enable this to happen too.
One can dream. ![]()

far as I remember there's not really sarcastic responses in this? well there might be some, I mean there were a couple in DA:O
But not a specific Sarcastic Inquisitor like a Sarcastic Hawke.

Bah, I'll try to make my Quizzie as humorous as possible. I always gave witty and funny lines to my Warden as well.
In addition to the second round of character kits revealed today, David Gaider, lead writer of the Dragon Age franchise has explained on the BioWare Social Network some of the specifics of Inquisition'sdialogue system. A summary of points follows:
- Similarly to Dragon Age II, dialogue options are picked from paraphrases on a wheel interface, and are written with a voiced protagonist in mind.
- There is no longer a dominant tone the protagonist will use during "auto-dialogue" segments.
- There will be less "auto-dialogue" than in Dragon Age II, as it will only be heard when the Inquisitor says something such as "Go on." or "What is that?"
- The diplomatic, humorous and aggressive tones used by Hawke are gone, replaced by noble, clever and direct. This is an initiative to bridge the gap between the three tones.
- Similarly to how the "investigate" branch of the dialogue wheel broke off in Dragon Age II, there will now be a branch dealing with "special" dialogue choices or actions to be taken. This is dependent on things such as having a certain companion present, romance options, previous choices etc., and will be greyed out if the requirement is not met in order to show the player the choice they could have made
that's what I found, probably could find some Sarcastic responses under clever?
I guess I'll use the clever tone from now on since it's a bridge between both sarcastic and probably charming.
Probably going to go with a Dalish Knight Enchanter, picked female but could easily be male depending on which looks better. With a bent towards Diplomatic, Lawful and Amoral.
The archtype of my character is the femshep I managed to create in Mass Effect 2, there she was exactly what I wanted she to be.
Diplomatic most of the time, but with a touch of craziness and cruelty that is always there, but is not seen by most people. So that's how I'll try to make my first Inquisitor.
For my first playthrough, I'm going to go with what feels most comfortable to learn, and go from there.
I'm not sure whether I'll go with human or elf, since that depends on what happens in the character creator, but for now, we'll say human. Certainly a rogue female, with AWR for voice.
Diplomatic/Agressive: Both
Alignment: Neutral, since I believe in neither law nor chaos. Social commentary aside, people will use whatever label suits them. Promoting order isn't the same as following the letter of the law.
Promote a joke/get serious/fluff it off: Yes.
I'm a friendly extrovert and it tends to show in how I RP.
Morals: For me, the question is, "Compared to what?"
Race: Dwarf
Gender: Female
Class: Rogue
Specialization: Artificer (or Assassin)
Traits: Diplomatic, Neutral, Lover, Commanding & Friendly
Female Qunari Mage (Don't know enough about the specializations to know which)
Friendly, Moralistic, Quite Diplomatic.
Responds to pranks by baking a pie (prefferably one that is to the prankster's liking), then throwing the pie into the prankster's face.
I almost always play a good guy human male in my 1st play through of these games and then choose a female snarky smart ass for my 2nd playthrough.
I will probably play a twohanded warrior. By far the tougher decision will be who my go to companions will be.
Male, human, warrior, sword and board. Always how I play a new game in this type setting. Then move on the other races and classes.
Female Qunari Rift Mage. Diplomatic, moral, and commanding, but also chaotic in her views and actions. She does what feels right to her at the moment, which can sway depending on the situation, and she doesn't take rules into the equation. She's also going to be a great commander on the field, but a huge introvert socially. She tries to be a comedian, but isn't the best.

I like blueberry, the prank will not cause pain or property damage. Free pie is good.

That'd be a good explanation for why I can never bring myself to NOT use all of the investigative dialogue options.
Surprised about how many voted rift mage. We know less about that specialization than any other except possibly tempest. Did new info come out in the last few days, or are people picking it because not knowing anything about it makes it more interesting?
I don't know about everyone else, but I'm leaning that way because neither of the other two mage specialties fit what I have in mind for my character (I'm wanting to be more of a support/healer, so...yeah.)

No, I think it's just the simple fact that it sounds awesome.

Rift magic could be plot related.
Since there is the whole situation with the rifts.
Perhaps?
