I recommend not going into a thread with the title "Thank you BioWare" and instead go to one of the many rehashing the same complaints from over two years ago.

Now I feel bad that my BioWare shrine is so severely lacking. I do the requisite prayers and I also the holy dance of Andraste (strangely, it looks a lot like me limping around with no sense of rhythm) but I don't have any incense or effigies to burn or as many photos with hearts drawn around them of my favourite devs. To combat this atrocity, I'll gladly take donations to get my BioShrine up to code.

1. The fact that you used this point to dismiss a whole argument is the problem, not the ''joke'' itself.
2. So you dismiss any sort of critics opinion, and all good points they bring up as opposed to the blind praising going on on this forum daily then? This point alone is enough to dismiss anything you say.
3. The whole plot of mass effect 3 was clichè and predictable, don't pretend it to be otherwise.
4. And thus every wrong of Bioware is blamed on EA.
5. Was not referring to that statement, perhaps I misread a certain statement of yours as a snarky comment.
How about you put all of this in another thread? You can call it "My super valid super objective super important criticism of Bioware". This is not the place for it.

Can you please explain something to me that I've never understood....why are you here? If you hated all the games they've put out in the last five years and everything's bad and nothing's good and whatever. Why are you still here on the forum talking about it? I've hated a fair share of games, even from companies I used to like. I stopped playing them and never gave them a second thought.
And yet...Every single time, in every single thread, no matter the topic, there are people rehashing the same complaints and saying everything BW does is awful and burned twice, ruined forever, but they still show up to talk about it? Why?
I am a fan of bioware games, don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed most of the games they put up, that's not to say I've lost alot of trust for them in recent years, or ignore any faults in the games they produce. But I don't have any loyalty to the company and thus won't blindly defend them to death when they are shown to fail.
Hopefully Bioware has learned they cannot get away with making mediocre games anymore, just look at the sales figures.

just look at the sales figures.
ME3 had sold 3.5 Million Units in it's first week. I may not be a marketing expert but that sounds like a pretty impressive number considering that was well over two years ago now.

I don't think every single compliment given to BioWare needs to be mitigated by complaints about stuff. Especially since they have gotten the message a thousand times over.
I couldn't agree more. This is all I can think of when I see people hating on Bioware and their games in any small-large way.

(RIP you amazing Man.)

One Million in two weeks seems reasonable to me, also it should be taken into account that DA2 quickly followed Origins and wasn't able to successfully build the fan dubbed *Hype Train*. An article from 2012 also lists 2 million sold for SWTOR (I can't confirm first weeks sales unfortunately.)

I'm not gonna trust bioware after burning me 2 times, I will not start praising them over fluffed up marketing material wich doesn't truly represent the game. I will keep ''whining'' as you primitively put it until bioware has proved that they can actually make a decent game again. Also I never mentioned the ME3 ending, I'll just say that I don't like how they forced one ending under the illusion of choice, thus making all previous choices pointless, going against the point of an interactive story.
I've also noticed it to be common for the drones to blame EA for Biowares faults.
The blind fanboyism on this forum is outright disgusting to be honest.
you can feel however u want about bioware and their games. i mean if u dnt like something u dnt like something. and u can express it all u want. as long as uk your respectful. you can feel upset, like their horrible or not trust bioware even. nothing invalid about your opinion/feelings. i don't have a problem with it at all. nothing wrong with it. or with what u said even.
idk much about the EA/bioware blame issue.
but…to say "blind fanboyism on this forum is outright disgusting"…?
to say "blind" is kinda suggesting fanboy/girling over bioware games is not correct. like..we don't realize that its actually bad? or we continue to love a company/game we don't enjoy…? people can be blind to ideas, but when it comes to games, very very few ppl will ever play a game they don't like at the very least. actually some people just still enjoy and love bioware and their games regardless of the things they didn't do as wonderful on. or maybe even some of those people just didnt have a problem with the things many say was an issue. the truth is these people, including myself, aren't blind. they just feel differently. like i had issues with DA2 also, but it didnt effect me enough to make me not trust bioware and their games. i just really really love their characters, stories, role playing. enough so that i love DA2. and i didnt love the ME3 endings either but i thought every other part of ME3 was great so i still love bioware.
also to say it is "disgusting" is taking quiet a step forward. its hard for me to see why one would find others who love and enjoy a certain game/company (for reasons u might not know or agree with) as disgusting.
so nothing wrong with your own feelings about bioware/their games. (as long as its reasonable and respectful). but to say some fanboys (girls?) are blind and their enjoy of the company/games disgusting is a bit unfair. and feels false to me.
and yeah this thread was made to thank bioware for their own personal reasons. which are real reasons. like. we really love these games and want to thank them for it. really. for myself, bioware is my favorite company and their games mean so much to me - they're one of the only games where i can be myself. they are very progressive. it goes deeper than just gaming for me. its helped me thro some difficult times. but at the same time it is just the game. i love rpgs, i love in depth characters and stories that are diverse. i love making my own character and choosing dialogue and the combat. and DAI looks like Bioware went all out and I'm loving it and want to thank them. so yeah. those aren't blind feelings, just like your feelings aren't blind. their valid ones. just like yours except different.
as for the shrine business. would a tumblr account dedicated to bioware count?? hah. i mean ok yea very passionate about video games and bioware ones but it only goes so far. they are games. entertainment. escape. but i feel like anyone who spends time on a gaming forum prob is? lots of us wnna make games prob right? but anyways. even if someone did whatev. glad they find joy in something yeah?

You do realise that DA2 was far more profitable than Origins, right?
Maybe initially, but in the long run? No. Both you and the other guy who posted about ME 3 sales, ignore the fact that it was only initial sales that was strong. Which is an indication that the previous games made more people buy the follow up cause they expected the same quality (if not better). However where Dragon Age: Origins has proven to be a game that had long legs, to almost being evergreen (something that's very rare), Dragon Age 2 dropped very fast after the first 2 weeks.

I'm also willing to bet that Most of those people thoroughly enjoyed the game albeit the lack of End Game as you've said. Story was better than such a simple term than good and I found the game play itself rather enjoyable as well. considering I've got 10 fully levelled and End-Game geared characters the game did enough to keep me around.
It was enjoyable, but certainly not worth subscribing to. I felt a bit screwed. The graphics were very dated and it was pretty clear that words of EA louse was the truth, when he revealed that the games biggest budget was spent on sound (voice acting and so on).

Thanks bioware.
i remember a mage getting owned by qunari mages in dragon age 2. Upon witnessing their awesome lightning spells that mage thought to himself, damn, i wish could be a qunari mage with those kick butt spells.
Then bioware gave him the option to play as a qunari and the static cage spell.
thankyou

It is trolling when people go to a nice 'thank you' thread and start showering bile on it.
It's like crashing a party and then pi**ing on the carpet - not stylish.

Just trying to understand why some people defend bioware so fiercly, even going as far as personal attacks as soon as someone posts an ounce of criticism. And I don't see the point in praising them over a game we've seen nothing of outside of fluffed marketing material made to get the game to look good.
Once more, this is the Thank You Bioware thread, not the Moan and complain about Bioware thread. Please, drop the goddamn discussion.
And to answer your question, because most of us actually enjoyed Bioware's previous games. To give you an example, I hated the ending of ME3 as much as you did. I still love the game for its characters and all dem feels. 20 minutes of suck does not undo 30 hours of fun. If you let the thread be, you may get a lot more examples. So please, quit your moaning or move it to another thread.
