You shouldn't be thanking BioWare, it's they that should be thanking you. You, who buys & plays their games. Without you, there wouldn't be a company named BioWare.
Thank you for bringing back playable races. That was what made DAO incredible for me and hopefully DAI will surpass that now. ![]()

I'm with you OP I absolutely love the Mass effect and Dragon Age series Bioware is my favourite developer (don't like star wars and won't like that shadow realms stuff I think they should just do SP games)
I think Dragon Age Inquisition will surpass DA 2 and also DA: Origins
it looks so freaking awesome in every aspect and a step up from previous games I really haven't seen any major issues damm I hope its well received (by critics and gamers alike) because it seems that they really worked their asses off with this one
And I want more DA for many years to come!
Pour me another, if it's 7:30 where you're at then I guess it's fine for me to drink as well
No problem. I just opened another beer a moment ago. Drinking beer for breakfast isn't too bad.

Following this logic Bioware should thank farmers, because without them mass producing food there would be no civilisation at all and no company whatsoever.
No it's reasonable enough to thank a company that provides you with hours of entertainment, although of course you don't have to thank them.

I'd like to thank them for listening to their fans. The choices in the character creator show that they listened to fan feedback requests on the forum and the return of different races, the tactical camera, the elf design and customizable companions also show this. Features in the CC alongside specializations now impacting the story (or having a story reason behind them) show that Bioware listened as these things were discussed and asked for at least two years ago on these forums.
I don't agree with the logic that they shouldn't be thanked. They didn't even need to add these fan requested things and I think Inquisition would still sell well. In any case, unlike other developers, Bioware have shown that they've listened and this is also evident by how they even bother to post on their forums (something many other developers never even do i.e Bethesda, Capcom, Ubisoft etc).
Just trying to understand why some people defend bioware so fiercly, even going as far as personal attacks as soon as someone posts an ounce of criticism.
Just a thought, but maybe it's because we can't have a thread called 'Thank YOU BIOWARE' without people coming into it ****ing and moaning about the flaws in their games? And because anyone who says nice things about them ON THEIR OWN FORUMS gets accused of being a blind fanboy? (Because fangirls don't exist, apparently.)
Anyway, back on topic.

BioWare had the vision and talent to actually go and make something. We just had to go to a store and buy a box, anyone can do that.
Everything Andraste_Reborn said. With a bit of extra thanks for this:

Carry on being awesome. Can't wait for the Inquisition. ![]()
I am not moaning and complaining about bioware, I merely see the mistakes they make, and thus criticising those elements.
And you think just because you enjoyed a game and refuse to see the flaws, it justifies personally attacking people who didn't? Again I don't understand why people show loyalty to BiowEAre, or any other company for that matter.
I do see the flaws, and I acknowledge them. Doesn't stop me from loving the games, you can love something and still see the flaws. I haven't personally attacked you, I have suggested that you take your critique elsewhere. Create your own thread in the feedback section or find an appropriate existing thread. This is not the place.

Nice !
There were plenty of threads created with the point of actual feedback, until bioware employees started deleting any post that were even slightly negative towards any of their games, and thus alot of people now see this forum in a bad light, thus avoiding it like the plague, big reason why there aren't all that many posters here compared to the general forum for an AAA company.
You oviously didn't read my previous posts, I never attacked anyone verbally, I was merely questioning a certain mindset. And I wasn't talking about myself criticising bioware I was talking about whenever another person doesn't agree with the average bioware fanboy, then the general response is ''omgusshhh leave bioware alone so we can keep circlejerking, if yu dun like it dun pley it'' mixed with needless insults and sometimes even personal threats.
First of all you put words in my mouth, second of all you have shown that you didn't read my previous posts before replying. You can nitpick every game in existence, but if you can't see that ME3 and DA 2 were especially bad, then you would fail miserably.
Gee, I wonder why they shut down those threads. If this is the level of debate you're aiming for, then good riddance! They won't remove a thread with negative feedback as long as it's voiced in a respectful and civilized manner. And from what I've heard and seen of the old forum, it was a cesspool of insults and bile. The new one is much better.
Which reminds me: Thank you Bioware for the new forum!

Didn't you just imply that anyone that still buys games from Bioware are "Drones" and all without knowing anything about them. I believe that is called arguing from ignorance.1. You assume I took a commonly used word from ME3
2. No, if you think that's then case, then you haven't read much of the criticism, alot of wich brings up some good points.
3. Having a predictable, forced ending in a choice-based story RPG is no good.
4. Your proof?
5. I only posted my opinion. Again you pull random statistics out of nowhere.
Oh, and it's generally not a good idea to call other people idiots when you don't know the first thing about them.
If I could give A_R all my likes, I so totally would, because that list (although a fragment of what I like) is what I like ![]()
Thanks Bioware, for the thousands of hours of entertainment over the years
Thank you Bioware for giving me a way to spend time with my sister who lives 3000 miles from me. We keep in touch while shooting cerberus, reapers and geth and it is "Glorious!"
And really, A_R's list. (fangirl fistbump) You rock too! ![]()
Seeing that Hawke will be playing a part in DA:I and wasn't brushed aside, due to mixed DA2 reviews, really makes me want the game even more now. Will love to hear Hawke's VA work again.
Anyone who has a positive opinion of these games is a drone, because I didn't like them and I say so! And my opinion is the right one! Anarchy! look at all these sheeple!
Nice to see another iconless troll who dedicates all their posts to *****ing about the very games this forum is dedicated to talking about... and acting all surprised when people disagree.
What, you mean there are people who like Bioware games on the Bioware forums!? This is disgusting!

Just want to add my thanks as well.
DAI is easily my most anticipated game of this year, its looking incredible and I can't wait to get my hands on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I just need to get through the next few months without spoiling it for myself, hopefully there will be no leaks before release because I'm really weak willed when it comes to spoilers (oh who am I kidding the EU gets the game 3 days after the US I'm going to camp out on youtube till release
) .
I'm adding my appreciation - I have very little to compare Dragon Age to when it comes to the gameplay or animation, since I only got into gaming a few years ago and even then I haven't bought more than a dozen games (I'm a firm believer in playing a game to death). But Bioware has consistently made me feel like I've got as much of a place in playing games as anyone else does. Their efforts at making as many people as possible feel welcome has really earned my loyalty, and I appreciate it hugely.
I'll happily throw in my thanks as well. I've been playing Bioware games since the beginning and the progression you guys have made in storytelling is simply amazing. I have no doubt you're going to kick ass on this console cycle and Dragon Age looks amazing! I look forward to playing the everliving snot out of it. So thank you for all your hard work in developing what I think will be a strong contender for Game of the Year.

Slyhades, I think what's irritating a lot of people here is that this is a thread specifically to say good/nice/appreciated things about Bioware - even if you're right that anyone who likes their products blindly is a sheep, the issue is that on a thread specifically talking about the things we enjoy about the games, you're coming in and derailing the thread.
It might be more productive on your part to start a thread about the policing of negative opinions, and how you oppose it, instead of coming into a thread that isn't about that and trying to force the subject.
I missed this thread before now. Thats sad.
But I am here now.
Thanks Bioware for what you do, what you done, and keep doing. Wish you all the best and hope you continue doing good with how you represent people in your games. ![]()
EDIT:
Mass exodus? LOL sorry.... I came to these forums this year, I followed Bioware before it was Bioware, followed Black Isle when Baldur's Gate 1. I love how Bioware represents people/groups. They are one of the small numbers that does compared to several others that doesnt. I will not list games/companies and such cause they do have their pro's as well. The rest, I hope will see representation as being a good thing, comics already are pushing this now too.
They dont deserve disrespect same as Bioware shouldnt. Entertainment is for our enjoyment. Yes, some griping can be done, but in the right threads, not the wrong ones.
I didn't say DA2 had more sales. I said it was more profitable. Which it was. It simply had a shorter dev time and cost a lot less to make. Which means it created more profit for the company.
Short term profit that devaules their brand. People aren't fans of rushed products and the sales showed it. Word of mouth is a powerful thing.
