So I've noticed something interesting that was a bit overshadowed by Hawke appearing on the new trailer. About 0:48 into the trailer a doppelganger of the Inquisitor knocks him over and grabs him by the throat:

So. Anyone has thoughts about that?

What was the audio over this section? I remember noticing it, but yeah, Hawke and the Warden definitely hogged a lot of the attention today ![]()
Shepard: '' I don't want to talk about it.. ''
Garrus: '' You could always ask your clone to do it for you.. ''
I remember in The Gauntlet in DA:O we had to fight ourselves for one of the tests. Maybe this is at the beginning of the game, a result of that particular trial being sucked into the Fade? They take place in the same location.
Yes, I noticed this. I didn't want to assume it was a clone though. Could just be a similar guy wearing the same armor.
But all of this is prefaced with a bit of "You were never supposed to exist"? Or something like that, wasn't it?
Maybe the Inquisitor is the clone. Or maybe they're twins. I'm so excited, ahh.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who was wondering why no-one else was talking about this?
I propose that we dub this fellow the Twinquisitor, who's with me?
No question who the evil twin is then. ![]()
There is a voice that says the inquisitor should not have existed and that he/she was a mistake. Possibly the inquisitor did die in the fade but was saved by that glowing figure and sent as a champion to stop the Twinquisitor.
Evil me sucks.
Evil me sucks.
However, he has excellent fashion sense. I would expect no less from my evil clone.
Those glowing eyes really bring out the shadows inside his helmet.
Its the current inquisition leader, quick kill him and take all dat power for yourself!
I don't feel its going to be the case but I wouldn't mind if the Inquisitor had a doppelganger. I like doppelganger stories. Don't care that ME3 Citadel DLC did something similar. The evil twin bit is fun. Last season TVD was full on them! I'll take a doppelganger fill from DA too if it wants to give it.
Is it just me or does the evil inquisitor have a larger frame than the original one? Also, if you look closely the door where the inquisitor was slamed is bleeding blood. Its hard tomspot but its slowly trickling blood.
Overall, I'd say its a dream sequence or a trial. The clone won't be too important otherwise.

It doesn't look like a good time, that's for sure

Or s/he was created to reduce the influence of the Inquisition.
"More pain this time. The Elder One still comes"... Sooo... If we induce more pain, The Elder One won't... come.
That's a good advice.
Whats the only match for the godliness of a bioware PC? The evil doppelganger of said character! In theory at least. Clone Shepard was kind of an idiot.
A demon ( most likely pride - seemed quite aggressive or maybe sloth ) that took the shape of The Inquisitor.

Somewhere along this route went my guess too, since demons are quite capable of shapeshifting.

Yup pretty much this. I imagine this will be near the start as others have said, most likely whilst we're still in the fade, I can actually imagine it being right before another scene from the trailer where it looked like something had thrown the Inquisitor off a high cliff and they were hurtling to the ground with a from above angle shot and thus this being the 'small pain' the doppelganger was referring to.
Maybe when the Inquisitor was pulled through the Breach and gained their weird Fade Powers (the mistake that wasn't supposed to happen), they accidentally caused part of themselves to get left behind in the Fade, creating the Twinquisitor?
There is also another matter... that feminine spiritual figure at the start of the trailer.. could that be Andraste?

Question is, why is the Twinquisitor hellbent on destroying the world?
Dun dun dun.

Well to be fair to Clone Shepard, he/she was pretty much a vegetable for most of his/her life and was pretty much taught things with a computer teaching/flashing things to him/her. He/she didn't really have that much experience in things and so is prone to make mistakes.

We really have no idea. Could be a powerful spirit maybe.

That ain't really the clone's fault. That's more on Brooks/Rasa for not even having the slightest idea as to what kind of a person Shepard was.
Assuming direct control.
