It seems that the two-handed Warrior is the Canon Inquisitor...

Well the Act 3 end game weapons for each class is sorta of a signature weapon for Hawke, I also would've like if Weapon and Shield Hawke had the Amell Shield too

I also didn't like how Stroud/Alistair/Loghain had a regular sword and wooden shield lol

Interesting that Cullen has the Inquisition sword and shield when he's along for the prologue and for Before the Dawn.

Hawke should have had the appropriate Hawke's Key weapon upon arrival, since Corypheus you know? Also wish that Vigilance and/or Starfang could have made the scene. Will the Sulevin Blade be the next weapon that we will never see again?

Isn't Sulevin Blade just the greatsword visual of Vigilance? I was somewhat disappointed at the lack if new unique weapon designs in this game especially for duel wield rogue. Most of the unique weapons are reused skins from previous games nothing really stood out as unique like how vigilance and starfang or hawke's key, finesse, and staff of paralathan whatever its called. Closest thing that stood out was the staff with the skull and tentacles

I just checked, Sulevin blade does seem to copy the same blade and hilt design as the Vigilance Greatsword, very disappointing.

I hope they take the time to create new models for DA4, maybe that'll be easier without dealing with an engine shift and five platforms.

I kind of found that odd considering this was a completely new engine. I doubt these things are plug and play between Lyceum and Frostbyte.

The unique dagger you find in Redcliff is the same model from the first da 2 rogue pack, as is what King Alistair, and Master Dennet's wife are wearing.

I suppose they wanted to keep the style consistant, but it's odd, for example, to see Kreme wearing the Kirkwall sigil even though he has no connection.

Agony the dagger you have to get all those shards just to get you would think would have a unique design but it is actually the same as Voice of Velvet dagger from Awakening

I'd really like to know if the models transfer between engines (Presumably with a new texture), if so then this is a matter of conserving resources.  If not then it's just... odd.

Lol, yeah that annoyed me too. It wouldn't have been a big deal at all to simply reuse the same models as the ones used in the DA2 prologue. But then, Hawke is also a level 11 rogue, which is super lame XD

I found that very annoying especially seeing varric outlevel hawke. They could have at least had hawke level up with you.

I thought the Keep shows the canon inquisitor is a rouge.

I'm no programmer, but Lyceum was just an updated version of the Eclipse engine in DAO, so the transfer between those two would have been easy. Frostbyte, as I understand it is completely unrelated, so I doubt it would be easy if it were even possible.

And you're right, it is odd.

Speaking of two-handed weapon, there's this incredibly beautiful blade you can get near end-game, from some kind of dalish area you unlock via war-table. Does anyone remember that?

I remember watching Laidlaw demo DAII with FemHawke, and yet MaleHawke was the one on the cover. So them showing a specific sex or race is not "canon."

Why does what Bioware chooses for their canon matter? Only your canon matters in your game.

Because the writers can only be so vague when there are a potentially infinite number of different canons they need to deal with in later games.  Getting in their heads a bit means you're less likely to find you've created a plot hole (or just an awkward moment) with your own canon.

Then again, if we base things on the trailers, Bioware's canon Hawke is a Blood Mage, and we all saw how that went...

Trailers aren't canon. They're flashy marketing intended to drum up interest. Yes, default Hawke is a mage, but everything else is up in the air.

Why assume they're noob daggers? They could be mastercrafted daggers made from the highest tiered materials in the game for all you know, you can't judge on appearances.

True, but it is a somewhat strange visual contrast.

There is no canon.

They used a male human Warden for DAO trailer but the Keep default uses Female Dalish. Also they seem to change which Inquisitor they're using frequently for the trailers.

That's why Legacy was always the last thing I did before endgame.

That was the same case for me until I learned how to edit my PS3 saves. I gave The Hawke's Key an "Improve by level up" ability and kept the weapon for the rest of the game.
