I wondered after seeing the video with Leliana being shackled up and tortured by the Venatori interrogator, could Cullen be in Leliana's place. What I mean is, could you choose advisers to be in those quests and as such be affected by the results?

an interesting thought, i wonder that too. but as far as i can tell, Cullen and Josephine are the advisors, Leliana is suppose to be the inquisitions pet assassin. i could be wrong.

Cullen might not be captured in the first place.  If we followed his or Josephine's plan, the entire scene could play out differently for all we know.  They also said that this scenario was a result of various decisions, and might not even occur in some playthroughs.

I'm wondering how that scene plays out if you don't bring a rouge.  The door said "rogue required" in order to open it.

Yes, because muscles, I have a harder time imagining Josephine doing that for some reason.

Maybe characters free themselves in different ways, like Leliana breaks the guard's neck with her thighs, Cullen seduces the guard and ends up shackling him and Josephine uses her strength to break the chains and strangle the guard, wait a minute...

No, I think you got it right in the first place.  How pissed off do you think Josephine is going to be if the person she was all nice and diplomatic to, just makes her prisoner and tortures her?  For Cullen, capturing and torturing is probably foreplay for him after what happened to him in DAO.

If Cullen is captured, the Venatori send a female cultist to interrogate him. Cullen escapes by seducing her; when the Inquisitor bursts into the room, they're, ahem, in flagrante delicto.

Yes, he could, if you chose to follow his plan and sent him in instead. Cullen uses military force, Josephine uses diplomacy, and Leliana uses subterfuge.

Have you seen Cullen's meaty thighs? Of course he could snap someone's neck. Though more likely he would suffocate his captor. Because of the meatiness.

I don't know bout you guys but Cullen can deal with those nutty mages on my watch. Leliana will be busy tho doing other important things, supervising my Warden's journal entries for a start.

I'm starting to understand the role of the advisers a bit more.

Um... you're talking about the guy who ran away like a little wimp after flirting with the mage warden... right? Ok then...

Oh I hope. If Cullen can't be killed I'll get the next best thing. watching him suffer via torture.

Will Cullen ignore Alexius's pleas and proceed to cut Felix's throat like Leliana did? I know he has a bad experience with a game before, but for some reason I can see him as a more reasonable figure in this situation.

well, in the gamescom gameplay video we can go to our war table and select a mission to send someone out on.  The one they showcased had something to do with a venatori getting close to the king of nevarra and we had to send one of our advisers to kill the venatori, we had a choice of leliana, cullen, or josephine.  So i assume that we can choose to send cullen into this mission.  Though i dont think he would get captured.... or maybe no matter who we send gets captured....  if only they had made it so they were in their small clothes during torture, leliana and josephine would get sent every time for me

In any case I would send all three just to see the results. And if they do get tortured...heads will be rolling.

Well, they did mention somewhere that Leliana's look in that scene was a placeholder as her actual appearance was "too spoilerific." I think it was in a tweet, but I don't remember whose it was.

I doubt it just because it seems stupid to sned your spy-master advisor on missions. She's supposed to send spies, not do wet-work herself. I think it's more likely she went to the Redcliffe to oversee an op that went Really Really Bad.

I am wondering if we rescue Leliana early in the game and then recruit her to be an adviser.

In the playthrough there is a cutscene where she is with the party and gets captured though. So later on, we rescue her and then she becomes an adviser, then starts the tutorial for how the advisers work or something.

Now, will we be able to go on these missions with our advisers or will it be like Assassins Creed 3 in which we virtually send out assassins ?? That was very boring in AC3 when their missions sounded more interesting than the actual playable missions.

Well considering that devs said that inq send leliana there and some player may even don't see that part of the game it is rather doubtful we recruit her there.

Oh, so we can interact in the missions in which we send our advisors out??? That sounds much better than the way Assassins Creed 3/4 worked.

It is rather unclear to be honest we don't know in what way we sent leliana there perhaps it could be by war table as every other typical mission or unusually by dialogue option what will be different than war table. If it is first still i doubt it is in case with every mission as one of the advisers missions was sending one of them to nevarra so in that case we rather won't interact with them
