I think he's Felassan as well. You can see he has vallaslin around his eyes, which flash violet for a split-second - that fits his description in The Masked Empire.

I think that has to do with the lighting, really. Because the guy is in other shots with Morrigan as well.

Why does everyone keep expecting every character we see to be someone we've already seen before? I would hope we're going to be seeing a lot of new Dalish, Orlesian, Mage, Templar, etc characters in the game.
I know we seem to have got rid of the alien looking elves from DA2 but that guy still looks too thickset and human to me. Of course he does have what appears to be Dalish tattoos but who's to say that the barbarian tribesmen don't have similar looking tattoos. He definitely looks weird whoever he is.
I believe its implied that Falessen is a dreamer and its told by Marethari in DA2 that Dreamers who become possessed by daemons are nearly unstoppable. Should be interesting if true and puts the Elder One's power into perspective.

Patrick Weeks has stated that Felassan is dead. When being in the fade was brought up and he should be alive and tranquil he stated that some were better at killing then others. Sorry. 
I was hoping he was alive also, in some way shape or form.

That's disappointing. Felassan was my favorite character in The Masked Empire. Briala was a close second.

Well, since dreamers could kill people in their dreams instead of making Tranquil, that wouldn't be too surprising, really.
