Ya know, just something that ocurred to me.
Will this enemy change his entire speech to suit all possible cultural outlooks?

Ummm, my impression was that when he said that line, the bad guy was speaking in general to the panicking masses of Thedas, not to the Inquisitor specifically.
As much as "Where is your God , now" sounds good to me for a trailer...for the Maker, a god who's been gone since a long time and hasn't lift a finger about the Blight ...I feel it doesn't work so well.
I'll have to see , possible some stuff we hear in trailers won't be used in game...or in a very different context of course.
What worries me is that in both the trailer and the gamescom gameplay footage the Inquisitor is refered to "the Herald of Andraste", or just the Herald. Wth?
They've been saying for a while now that there are people who are going to look at the Inquisitor walking out of the fade as a religious thing. Considering you're the one person that can close the fade rifts, it's easy to look at the Inquisitor as some kind of savior even if they're a horrible person. I'm sure you'll get the chance to distance yourself from it if you so choose, at least around your character's close friends (companions, advisers, etc).
My dwarf better get some kind of option to talk about the lack of stone sense in topsiders though.
Well if he really does make that speech just after levelling the site of the peace conference, which is a holy site of the Chantry, it is hardly surprising he taunts the onlookers about the Maker. On the other hand, if the speech doesn't actually go with the scene but somewhere else like the Fade, then may be it does alter according to the race of the Inquisitor, so "where are your Creators now" or "where are you Ancestors now?". Mind you I've no idea what would be said to a Vashoth. So I think it has to do with the fact that the Elder One (or his followers) have just used to Shrine of Andraste, the thousands of pilgrims, not to mention the mountain of lyrium underneath it, to open a stonking great hole in the Veil. Seems fitting that he should mock their religion to me. It is a general statement, not directed specifically at the Inquisitor.

Ding ding ding ding. I'm surprised it took anyone so long to point this out. He's making a Bond Villain speech, it doesn't matter who's listening. He could be talking to a corpse or an inanimate object and he'd be saying the same thing.
We have no clue the context of the bad guys monologue. He could be talking to a group of people, he could just be talking to the Inquisitor, who knows, only BioWare does.
But if it is one on one with a Dwarf/Elf/Qunari, I can't see it mentioning The Maker. A lot of extra work and effort goes into allowing us players to play as those extra races, it would be a rather poor decision on BioWare's part if they wasted all those resourced on additional races but didn't change a few lines of dialogue so it makes sense playing as those races.
If my Dwarven Inquisitor is called Herald of Andraste by the human farmers and other small folk, I can accept that, if he's called that by Cullen and other Inquisition members, that's poor writing to allow us these races but still give us a human story.
The trailer offers little context. We don't know who the voice is talking to. It's possible that he wasn't talking to the Inquisitor at all.
It's possible the speech was made for the trailer and we won't see it in-game lol.
Pretty much. Nothing to write home about.

It was pointed out in the second reply....

I almost hope the guy does say "Where's your Maker now?" to the Dwaren/Elven/Vashoth Inquisitor same as the human, and we have the option to give a snappy comeback like: "I'm a dwarf/elf/vashoth. He's not MY Maker." We had similar options in DAO.
I get the feeling it's less about what you personally believe and more about what you represent to the rest of Thedas.
Same with the Herald of Andraste thing. It's not something you call yourself, but what a portion of the population of Fereldan and Orlais are calling you.
I suspect you can either tell people to quit calling you that, go along with for the sake of hope or fully embrace the idea.

Under any other circumstances, I say sure, but when an Elder God that wants to eat the world mistakingly assumes your beliefs while taunting you about how he intends to eat the world, then I think you have more important things to worry about than correcting him on his mistake. Plus, I doubt he'd stop either way.

You think he placed speakers all over thedas in order for everyone to hear him? ![]()
Which Maker do you mean? His mother or his father?

Who says he's saying it to the Inquisitor only?
I don't really care.
It'll probably turn out to be addressed to Cassandra/Leliana/Justinia or someone.

I liked those options in Origins. I'm certainly hoping the cultural perspective voiced by the non-Andrastian protagonist isn't diluted for the Andrastian human point of view.

Or something else entirely, i am reminded of the Uldred "do you accept the gift i offer" Abomination video more then anything else.
I'm of a mind it's likely from a scene in which the usage of the phrase will make sense in the context.
After all, Uldred tried to make the PC an abomination regardless of them being a mage or no.
As a character that isn't going to believe in the Maker I'm really hoping that if this happens my character can say something like this.
"Where's your Maker now?
"My what?"
"Your Maker!"
"You mean my mom and dad?"
