Bioware has confirmed Hawke for Inquisition but declines to comment regarding the Warden. I doubt Bioware would go to the trouble of bringing Hawke back and not include the Warden. This makes me think that the Warden will be back in Inquisition just not the way we want him.

In the trailer you see a soldier with glowing green eyes who is clearly being mind controlled by The Elder One. I think this will be the Warden's fate in Inquisition. If your Warden survived I think he will be one of The Elder One's general's and you will be given a side quest to defeat him. The Warden will be fully covered in demonic armor. After his health falls below 50% his helmet falls off revealing none other than The Hero of Ferelden! You and your party members all gasp. Dramatic music plays and then the real battle begins.

After defeating the Warden he is finally free of The Elder One's control. You lean closer to hear the fallen hero's final words. "The Elder One must be stopped. I entrust the world to you Inquisitor...." The Warden slumps over and dies.

Doing this would allow Bioware to please the fans by including the Warden without the hassle of trying to figure out how everyone's Warden should behave in Inquisition.

One problem with that, is they'd have to offer an option to design how the warden looked, I think. Cause mine is a pretty female elf mage and I would hate for somehow her to become a male human.. I bet Alistair would be surprised though! Can you imagine?

With Dragon Age Keep allowing you to tailor the events from previous games, I think the option to customize the appearance of Warden and Hawke for Inquisition is a possibility.

It would be more plausible for Corypheus to be controlling the Warden (assuming Corypheus and the Elder One are different people). At least Corypheus is established as being able to control wardens.

Also I think the soldier with green eyes in the trailer is an Inquisitor doppleganger. Probably a demon in the fade.

It's not. Devs said in an interview months ago that there's no character creator in the Keep. I don't know how that fits in with Mike Laidlaw saying we can decide the appearance of any previous main character that turns up.

"Months ago", so they may have managed to slip in a CC in the Keep. After all, they said they were not done with the Keep yet, if I'm not mistaken.

Why does Bioware even need writers when the fans can write the game themselves. I do not like this idea though.

If they choose only to bring back hawke and concering the warden you only get references in the game and a small epilouge slide in the ending and no appearance.

That is totaly UNACCEPTABLE

I think someone mentioned this in another thread and I tend to agree . If you use the Keep the game uses that info and when you go for a new game it gives you three different CC screens . If you didn't use the Keep it goes to the default save world state and you can only customize your Inquisitor . I believe that is a Dalish warden who does the US and a mage Hawke .

BioWare can and should do what they want.... even if I disagree with it. But I feel your pain bro (or sis).

I absolutely don't want a character I have played in the past to be turned into a foe, not even a mind controlled one. I don't see how having to kill "yourself" would please the fans. Thanks to the Keep it shouldn't be difficult to determine what our Warden is like. There should be plenty of choices in the world state to determine the Warden's personality and considering Hawke is already I don't see why Warden is somehow a different situation.

Maybe you should go to Writting.com interactives to see how Dragon Age actually works.

Dragon age is an interactive story (or it was, DA2 took all the interactivity off and made a lame date sim with infinte waves of pinatas), so an interactive goes like this:

You have A, B, or C, you choose B now you are shown with options that go for B but exclude both A and C. There is a way that if you chose C or A could get back to B if you didn't like what you were getting but at what expense? once you decide to go C you can no longer go for B but still have a chance to return to A... is complicated but it's how it works

What if the reason for Hawke was with the warden was so she can find her missing cousin/ our warden?

Both are connected to the fact that they've fought (or allied with awakened darkspawn/magisters) Amell/Hawke blood is potent. They have Flemeth saved them.

Um, no.... that certainly wouldn't please this fan.  We've been slapped in the face more than once by the writing staff.  If they insist on killing our previous PCs, that would give me a rather negative impression on the franchise as a whole.  I understand that it's their story and not ours but this just sounds petty.

They are not going to make the Warden evil.  PLEASE.   The backlash would be too much

I'm just guessing but I think it is more likely that the Keep would flag the CC in the game to open for you to create your Champion at start of game.

An option that would not open for default players. That way they would not need to build anything special in the Keep and only a couple of default Champion heads in an already existing game CC.

I would actually like it if they made The Warden Evil in Inquisition. Imagine the feels! Battling your character who saved Thedas from the Blight but has now been corrupted by the Elder One and needs to be stopped. The heart wrenching moment as you listen to your warden's final words. Taking his legendary sword or dagger or Mage staff for yourself and really wanting to stick it to The Elder One now. Now its personal Elder Bastrid!

Booooo!  Can the Inquisitor surrender to the Warden?  Can the Warden kill him, magically regain his sanity, and then I continue the game as him?  If so, then I'm on board.  ;)

I do wonder though, let us assume that the Warden also returns.. what if you were a Dual wielding Warrior in DA:O?

Good point on the dual wielding since I have a dual wielding warrior city elf - Elinar the Cuisinart.

Too cliche in my opinion. Besides, it would anger everyone who wants the Warden to have a happy ending, or Leliana/Morrigan/Alistair/Zevran. I doubt Bioware will go all the way to killing the Warden, maybe wounding (permanent injury type wound), but not kill. Plus having him mind controlled is a cheap way out.

Would be a serious slap in the face if the Warden just becomes a mook to be killed after all this time, but I suppose his/her fate is a bit more grim than Hawke's when you consider what we know Corypheus can do to Wardens.
