The Warden in the Enemy trailer is NOT your Warden, says Mike Laidlaw.

I was picturing the first page being a link to the Keep that asked you which World-state you wanted to explore the story in. (Since doing something like this on paper is going to be basically impossible after three games.)

So depending on the world state, that determines which book you buy? :P

Mike specifically said it is NOT our Warden, the Hero of Ferelden. It wouldn't make sense for it to be the Orlesian Warden, because if you imported your Origins PC in Awakening... well, then there is no Orlesian PC. Pretty simple. It's just a dude we probably haven't met yet. If, by any marginal chance, this turns out to be Alistair, I will cry - this dude is quite.... unattractive xD But I get the feeling they might include the Warden in a future game, if they figure out how to solve the voice issue.

I want to see my pretty elf in a future DA game as well, and not just hear bartenders mention a mysterious "elven mistress" of King Alistair. Seriously, my lady is tough, she is anything but a prostitute xD

They fixed that with the keep you can have a dead warden from origins, and have the frenchy warden commander at the same time

No, what you buy is a program that analyzes your Keep states and writes the book. (Or ebook, since there's no real reason to print it out.)

Ha, to be fair, I was imagining it in the context of one of the old school books I had as a kid, and not so much something that would exist now, via ebooks. xD

That might not be so bad if set in the Dragon Age 'verse, but it would have to be before the events of Origins. Otherwise you'd need them to be ebooks in order for them to use the Keep, and that only gets more true the later they're set.

With the NDA lifted slightly for the Keep, people have been allowed to share non spoiler images from within.

These are the options for your race/class for the Hero of Ferelden.

The Warden in all his/her glory.

My Warden carried two longswords. Something we can clearly see is not an option here. If you consider that DA:I has no two weapon wielding outside of the rogue, this could very well be proof of the Warden's appearance, as they would have to utilize the new system for their potential combat abilities.

All those images represent are the race/class combinations. Dual wielding warriors in DAO aren't discounted by those images or dagger wielding rogues would be as well or twohanded weapon wielding warriors.

And if, not likely, the images only depicted the weapons you can use for each class in DAO but it doesn't show dual weapons for a warrior warden I don't see how that would proof the warden will appear. If the images did show the possible weapons per class but not dual weapons for a warrior warden there would be slightly more proof against the warden appearing, not for.

They represent the class, yes. However, it's just interesting to note the lack of said items. Maybe it means nothing, sure. But at the same time, I doubt we can choose our abilities in the Keep, and therefore, were the Warden to appear, it's easier to represent his/her class skills via the new system were they to ignore certain factors such as duel wielding.

Apparently, according to Bioware, the "daggers" come in different sizes. :P

Personally, I actually really like the style. If they had eyes, it would just look weird. With this, at least it's more impersonal and doesn't impose any particular features your Warden might not have, like blue eyes, etc.

Sure makes them all pretty white, though.

True, though, that might have been an oversight given that you'd probably be able to customize everything else, elsewhere.

So how about that Warden in DA:I? Didn't Laidlaw say recently that if the Warden were to appear in DA:I they'd be perfect?

I don't recall that. I just remember them saying that we'd get to choose their appearance.

They said both things. But what im hoping for that if you get to change the appearance i want to add some scars considering that the last 10 years he has taken part in some battles

Indeed, though, I do believe we get scar options this time too.

Agreed -- plus I can appreciate it's a line you have to balance on, between giving an avatar that's recognizable and acknowledging the custom-tastic aspects of the PCs in DAO/DAA and DA2. I still think they should've gone with a more heavily symbolized representation for the Warden and Hawke in order to get around this; making the default tapestry version of them white smacks of some lazy thinking.

They're still pretty!

I don't know who that guy in Warden armor is, but is the dragon who tackles the other dragon Flemeth? I've tried to pause the trailer to see if I can spot her signature horns (I think I did, could be self delusion though) but whoever edited this trailer really didn't want anyone to get a good look at that dragon's head. I think it's her.

It's hard to tell because each game has not had a consistent style. So for all we know, Flemeth could look different again, if she does appear.
