I know, right?
I'm not sure why, if the Warden was never going to actually appear, they would be so cagey about it up until now. I mean spoilers are one thing, but getting some peoples hopes up seems unnecessarily cruel. Then again, I'm sure Gaider would say it's our own fault for hoping for something they never promised in the first place. I dunno. I'm glad Hawke will likely appear, but I'm more bummed out at the notion that the Warden won't be than I thought I'd be.

That's what I'm thinking too, hm. Maybe there's more to this than we think. I think they'd be clearer about this if it was just a plain "No, the Warden's not in the game". That's what makes me the most curious. Then again, maybe they're juste toying with our emotions.
Argh, can it be November 18 already? ![]()
So they'll mention the warden just like DA2 while having Alistair appear yet again
Well, Alistair is a "pre-made" character, not a player-made one, so it's probably a lot easier to include him in one way or the other, I think.

For me is that im disgusted if it comes to this: they bring hawke back but for the wardens part you get references and in the ending of DAI you only get a ending slide that refers to leliana or morrigan goes off to search for the warden if they were a LI form DAO, then the warden will stay disappeared forever. and considering past experience this is something that bioware could actually do.
It feels so convenient, cheek and pale if bioware choose not to include the warden in the story with an appearance while they have hawke in it (and two LI from DAO). If they don't grab warden part now then they never will in the future
Actually, they have more then 2, they have three, potentially four considering Alistair, and then Cullen who did have a crush on the Warden, if you were a female mage. And according to Alistair's VA, he will definitely be making an appearance. So yes, it is definitely a greatly lost opportunity, were we to not see the Warden at all.
However, that doesn't mean they can't make up for it in DLC.
Its just not fair what makes hawke so fancy. Its not one or the other its both or none.
While I do think it would be nice to see both cameo, I'm not sure why it has to be all or nothing for you.
This is the Quizzie's story, not Warden 2.0, if Hawke cameos and Warden doesn't then it should still be a nice "ha cool" passing moment in the Quizzie's story, in the same way Alistair or Zev turning up in Hawke's story was a nice "ha cool" moment, but it was still Hawke's story.
im. Just dissapointed as angry as i sound ill get over it by morning and waiting for the midnight release. I just wanted closureWhile I do think it would be nice to see both cameo, I'm not sure why it has to be all or nothing for you.

I expect them to at least explain the whole disappeared comment regarding the warden if they don't appear. If they do that I will be satisfied, if they don't then I will join in on the rage, but until then I will stay neutral on the subject.
Either way I really want to see what my warden looks like in the new engine plus the art change from DAO to DA2, mine was a dwarf and since the CC allows for us to choose races again I will get my wish I suppose, just hoping for casteless tats for the dwarf quizzy.
As far as what your Warden would look like, you'd have to use the CC anyway, so just play with it when creating your inquisitor and make what your warden would look like.
okay im calm...er now what do we know including this developmentI expect them to at least explain the whole disappeared comment regarding the warden if they don't appear. **** Hawke. If I buy DA:I I'm siding with the Templars just so that I can kill that lousy mother******.
Well didn't the DA Keep twitter say BOTH Hawke and the Warden's appearances (faces) would be imported through the keep? That musy mean we at least see his/her face or something, somwehere.

No it never said that

The Keep is purely for building and customizing your own world state. What Mike Laidlaw said was that if Hawke or the Warden Commander were to appear in DAI, we would have the ability to customize their appearances.
I just wish they would say for sure if the warden is going to be in the game or not ![]()
I'm very attached to several of my Wardens, and I'm almost relieved that they probably won't be appearing in DA:I. I still shudder to think about what happened to Revan and the Jedi Exile in SWTOR. While I don't think it would necessarily be that bad, I'll settle for references to the Warden instead of seeing them being killed off anticlimactically or gone insane or something. I'm looking forward to Hawke appearing though, because I know they will at least be in character somewhat due to the Keep. Also, I guess I'm a little less emotionally invested in them.

Makes sense - most people's Warden's are a lot more personal to them that Hawke, partially because of their lack of voice and racial choices. It's for that reason why I imagine it would be harder to integrate an appearance by the Warden without pissing off a lot of people who fell that their character wasn't represented they way they imagined.
