I'm fine with the warden not being introduced. But seeing as he followed his romanced morrigan through a mirror, I want to have some closure on that.
The Warden in the Enemy trailer is NOT your Warden, says Mike Laidlaw.

i never liked Leliana because she is a preachy and annoying hypocrite. She spent most of her life as an assassin who enjoyed manipulating and murdering people, and yet she feels the need to butt in and put on a goodie two shoes act whenever the warden does something less than ideal. "Everyone deserves a second chance" who are you to decide that you "deserve" a second chance? All the destruction you left in your wake and the people you hurt, that is going to be there forever, and they will never get a "second chance". People hate on Morrigan because she's a ruthless ******, but atleast she isnt a hypocrite. She stands for it and doesnt make any excuses.
I agree, the warden needs to rip.

He *DOES* look like Garevel
Right? And it would make so much sense, too, given that he's essentially ruling Amarathine at the end of Awakening...

I'm going to assume you didn't play her DLC? Because there's a lot more to Leliana. Just because she was a certain way at some point, doesn't mean that her views can't change. She wanted an escape from that life, to become someone else. And the Warden either helped her embrace that, or accept who she was.

Sadly it could be a cheap story, quickley made up.
My biggest fear is that it will be a Mass effect ending scenario. That people take what they can get even though the solution is awful.
As I think I mentioned earlier, I recall David Gaider mentioning that some people might be upset by Bioware's choices for the Warden's future, due to headcanons. It was way back though, but I believe it was a twitter post.

Probably, but frankly I don't care. I want some actual closure on this. I dislike the whole "make your own conclusions" shtick. I just want to at least SEE the Warden's final fate. I dont have to play as them, I just want to be there for it. It is unfair for the Warden to NEVER appear again, when basically every single friend of his in the world keeps showing up in every. freaking. game. Frankly it's bad enough that they keep showing up, even when I don't think it makes sense for them to be in it. But none of them ever really seem to give a rats ass about him at all anymore. They just put him out of mind entirely and moved on, as if he never meant anything to them.
You can use w/e excuses you want, but Leliana told my Warden she would never leave his side willingly, and that she would follow him everywhere, so long as they were together. Now Bioware insists on her doing everything else in Thedas besides giving a crap about what happened to him. Same for Morrigan, if he followed her into the Eluvian. Wherever they went together I doubt he would just let her walk off into this chaos without him at her side. His absence is getting a bit ridiculous, imo. idc what his ending is, just f***ing give me one. And give me one that is well written and thought out damnit.

I find it odd that Hawke would be there and not our Wardens, mostly because ... well Our Wardens were epic, Hawk not so much ... and yes I recognize that is an opinion lol
Regardless Im sure the story will be epic and explain everything, I hope. So, I will admit its simply selfish reasons that I wanted it to be MY Warden and Hawke and not just Hawke and some other guy
Still cant wait to see what happens, so dying to get into the Inquisition ![]()

I can understand you agitation, and to be perfectly honest I agree completely
. But all we can do is sit back and trust in BioWares epic story telling to unfold, and pray we get the answers we seek, for better or ill.
so, Heres to at the very LEAST hoping we find out what happened to those Wardens that followed Morrigan threw the mirror, and I do say that at the very least.

Their track record for Story Telling is something to be desired, if the last few games are a good indicator. I'm not one of those people who are always going "QQ I want my Warden back". I haven't given a crap at all for a long time. But now I am getting upset, because pretty much everyone from the series so far keeps showing up except The Warden.

I'll be happy if the Warden doesn't show up. The amount of whinning and outrage at how the Warden will be depicted + Headcanon will be unbearable.

Times change. Saying "I'll love you for all eternity" is very romantic in the moment but ultimately not always true though your romance still stands I believe. Nevertheless I've heard there will be a quest involving him which might give answers as to what caused his disappearence.

Again, I have already made it clear. "headcanon" can go to hell. I hate headcanon, because it makes things ridiculous imo. And I refuse to conform to this "times change" dismissal that everyone loves throwing around, that is not a real response, just a petty justification used so all the precious headcanon isn't trampled on.

I like how in DA2 when you ran into King Alistair and if you had a Warden marry him and became Queen, how he and Teagan talk about her.
Always makes me smile
, I would be good with something similar in Inquisition. TRUE I would LOVE to see my Warden again, but to be spoken about is still cool. At least gives me the feeling Im not totally forgotten ![]()

ugh i did play her dlc, why is that important? what difference does it make if her views *changed*, doesnt make the past go away. If somebody tortured and murdered someone you deeply care about, would it matter to you that theyve *changed*? How would you react if they show up at your doorstep claiming they had seen the light and found god, so all is forgiven? On top of that Leliana herself admits that she yearned for the thrill and excitment of her former life, and even the guardian of the gauntlet points that out. All that being said, my warden is ruthless ****** so its not her murderous ways that annoy me, its the fact that she is deluded and hypocritical bioch who chastises both the warden and morrigan for their ruthlessness, while justifying her own. The only reason Leliana "changes" is because Marjolaine betrayed her ass.
they have already confirmed the warden wont be there, yay

Yes, actually. If someone I cared about was murdered and I wanted revenge for years, only to discover years later that they were working to redeem themselves, who am I to take that away? It shows that they actually gave a crap about what they did, and that's exactly why I like Leliana's character, because she shows depth. Most people don't see that though, because like you, they're more annoyed by her commentary. Or have you forgotten that she was trying to fit a role and that meant saying things to fit said role until she either does/doesn't accept the past as who she should be.
