Maybe we will get to play a full mission as our old Warden? That would be fun and new.
That way Bioware wouldn't even have to deal with the fact that there were so many possible variations and outcomes.

It would definitely alleviate people who would be concerned they couldn't make their hero's choices. However, it is still the Inquisitor's story and David Gaider already stated that if they did bring the Warden back, it's in their hands now. Of course, with that in mind, I doubt they'd do anything to ****** off fans, but the idea is that the Warden has grown up and he'd be different now, regardless.
everyone knows why the warden is not in game it's because hes the inquisitor with amnisia
And also playing as the warden again in one mission woulnt be enough, like an addiction you always want more. to play as the warden again you need an entire new game for that.It would definitely alleviate people who would be concerned they couldn't make their hero's choices. BUT it is actually common in triology games and in movies that you always go back to your roots. Because the old ways are the better. So even if many things are speaking against the warden returning, i wouldnt throw the towel in just yet for the warden.
I'm sure with enough feedback, we may yet experience them in some sort of DLC expansion. But until then, I'm at least content in knowing they'll be a part of it, even if in the shadows.
Really makes me think I should go back DA:O and play a rogue now. xD
The thing is, the fanbase appears almost perfectly split on the issue of the Warden. Until they feel a majority favors their return they probably won't ever do it. It is understandable, but still really annoying.

It is like a question to a politition, you have to precise the question and not make it a simple yes or no answer.
If bioware would simply ask:
Do you want your warden to return?
Then it would be a conflicted camp where some want it yes, but the rest dont want bioware to meddle with the wardens personality.
However if bioware would ask: do you want the warden to come back as playable protaganist in the next game? it would be a different Matter.
In my opinion i always wanted a game where you can decide to import and play as warden, hawke or new character.
The latter would definitely make for an interesting option, but the only way I could see that working is if they go back to the Warden being silent, because otherwise it would be way too much VO, just for both gender and race, etc. And honestly? I didn't mind the Warden being silent, just as long as everyone else still spoke.

Yes and it could solve a lot o problems.
But having the warden voiced is a noble goal
Definitely a noble goal, sure. But I can only see it meaning sacrificing other potential options, and that's not something I imagine the developers would be interested in doing.
The inquisitor can be, human, elf, qunari, and dwarf. Even more variables than the Warden, and they have a voice. It is not so far fetched I think, for the Warden to be provided voice options.

Yes, but he's talking about more then just the Warden, and having the option to choose between the previous heroes or the new ones, for a future installment.

Yes, but Bioware has made it clear they are dead set on this "New protagonist every game" thing. So the odds of that happening aren't too likely

It is to bad that the bioware production is not conflicted about the protaganist. UBISOFT. When creatin assasin creed were conflicted about one of their protaganist, ezio aditore, it ended with a portion of the production started a new game with ezio, the other started the production of assasin creed 3
I wouldn't complain if they continued their expansion series, and in those you could choose who you wanted. That way, it wouldn't necessarily interfere with the core storyline, as with Awakening, you could potentially play a completely different Warden anyway.

My warden is deeeead. How should I play a game with the warden as protagonist? He would constantly lose bits of his rotting corpse on his way...

me i think its the stock standard "hey I'm a bad arse watch me die"
you go to recruit a grey warden specifically Blackwall but blackwalls like, "Yeah, Nah. not my problem." anyway Awesome giant slaying warden agrees to go instead, but blackwall argues with him and doesn't want him to go he's all like "our job is killing darkspawn" but the Awesome Giant spider Killing warden want's to go anyway. they argue but how the demons will soon be everywhere and it's everyone's fight.
then a rift occurs. evil evilness spews forth including giant spider: Awesome giant spider killing warden single handily kill's the giant spider and you defeat the rest everything's looking peachy.
AGSK warden is all like "i have to go" and blackwalls all like "i know" and AGSKW is like "Come with us" and Blackwalls all "I cant" and they leave.
just as the leave the location a massive explosion of rift energy happens and everyone's knocked on their arse and a big badarse demon emerges with a small army, he goes straight for the Inquisitor but AGSKW get's in the way and stands against him AGSKW dies a Hero's death to this badarse mega demon. Inquisitor tries to take him on but the whole squad get's its arse kicked.
All looks lost.................... then blackwall shows up with a few grey wardens and the badarse mega demon retreats. blackwall agree's to join for revenge. as his character progresses.......... you reach a point where you have to go into the deep roads you get what you came for but things go to **** and their about to be overwhelmed they barricade themselves inside a room but it wont last long.
and blackwall collapses....he explains the closer he get's to darkspawn the worse it get's..........the calling, he should have left for the deep roads months ago, but he put it off. the wardens remained at the location because he'd been too weak to travel. it shouldn't have happened AGSKW shouldn't have been there. blackwall should have went to the deep roads when the calling was first upon him. "don't you see this is all my fault, AGSKW died because of me, But i can still do one good thing Inquisitor"
they find a way out but the darkspawn are just about through the barricade. blackwall rallies.......... "go I'll hold them off, just make sure you kill that bastard that killed AGSKW" "but there's too many, you be killed!" someone add's "I'm dead already" responds blackwall. you say your goodbyes.
Blackwall stands to face the darkspawn hoard himself....... cutscene ends with him slaughtering all the darkspawn but he's surrounded surely going to overwhelmed. the Inquisition leaves the deep roads one man short.

That didn't stop Sophia Dryden.
But anyway, did Mike change his mind? Could've sworn he said that that person was nobody from DAO.

That's where it's conflicting, because it's the same scene, only this time a different Warden.
Wait theres a different person in that scene? wheres the video of this? I always miss all these videos I see people talking about.

They mean the Stroud look-a-like in the Hero of Thedas trailer
Oh ok. i barely notice that stuff unless I'm actively looking for it.
