If he were to be added as a corpse I'd be cheesed.
I'd of rathered they let him disappear if that's the case.
I'm willing to see how bioware handles this
You see your The Warden at the end of the game as Lelianna is departing. The Warden is standing a long way away on top of some hill so he just looks like a shadowy silhouette. He waves and shouts "thank you Inquisitor for saving Thedas. I was preoccupied killing the last archdemon!" and then departs along with Lelianna who shares a kiss with him on the hill before walking off in the sunset. By this, Bioware only need register your character's gender and race and can make a suitably sized silhouette for it. Also, since the Warden is only shouting out one line, they can make a unique voice for each race and gender.
If your Warden has no LI, then at the end of the game, the Inquisitor looks at some random hill in the distance and sees the Warden on it. The Warden still shouts out "thank you Inquisitor for saving Thedas. I was preoccupied killing the last archdemon!" but departs by himself.
LOL that would actually make me laugh. It would feel so cheesy especially if it's during the final celebrations and the Warden just happens to randomly appear on some hill in the distance.
Or maybe DA:I will pull a DA2 and have The Warden randomly show up in the final boss battle (like it did for Zevran and other NPC's if you helped them during DA2). Bioware registers their race and gender and equips them in Warden-Commander armor which comes with a helmet covering their face. In the end epilogue, it says The Warden mysteriously vanished after the end battle with their LI or alone. That's the "closure" Bioware gives us. ![]()
But seriously now, I see two options:
a ) The Warden remains absent from game and is only referenced.
b ) The Warden will appear and Bioware is just lying about it. His appearance won't be a cameo either (i.e shouting from a hill top) and will have some significance.
I can't see Bioware making a scenario where The Warden is found dead because so many fans (including myself) will go so mad that the ME3 ending controversy will pale in comparison.
I'd only accept the dead Warden scenario if The Warden is found dead in the fade with four thousand pride demon corpses surrounding him alongside five thousand rift dragons corpses with the idea that the Warden slew them all before succumbing to his injuries. Also, on a return journey through this area, the Warden's body has vanished...speculation for everyone!
