They are quick to say it isn't the Warden but are silent when asked if it is Alistair.
I'm worred.

Even if it is Alistair, their always updating the looks throughout, so it should be fine.
I'm starting to think that Warden is actually Carver, but the fact that he's blond makes me wonder. Maybe you can choose how Carver or Bethany looks as well if they were to appear in the game.
Or maybe he's Sebastian. I'm getting a really strong Seb vibe when I look at his face. It's not such a stretch that characters look different between games. BUT... the fact that he's wearing Warden's armor again makes me wonder. Or maybe Seb's joined the Wardens... maybe he broke down after Kirkwall. So much speculation... dayum, I can't wait to play this game!! PUMPED
I don't know how on earth you see Seb. He doesn't even have the wispy locks of hair.
The same way a lot of people see the Orlesian Warden, or Alistair, or any of the other possibilities. It's fun to speculate, and until we get more information/November 18th, speculation is all we've got.
I wasn't expecting to see Hawke, but now they have appeared in the fade my guess is that's where Hawke and the Warden (either yours or the Orlesian) have been taken and the Inquisitor happens upon them, or goes specifically to rescue them. Maybe the Warden in the trailer isn't yours...but maybe you found Hawke and team up to find the Warden from DA:O/A?

If we do meet both Hawke and the Warden and we team up, I should probably play that Warrior Inquisitor so i actually have all three classes with me...

That's pretty much this thread in a nutshell, I know. ![]()
But if Sebastian is going to show up, he better be a lot prettier. xD
Sebastian makes the least sense of the possibilities I've heard: The appearance is all wrong and since when does Sebastian cavort around in Grey Warden armor? Where's his bow for that matter? That's pretty much this thread in a nutshell, I know.

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts too. Definitely going with Orlesian Warden until told otherwise.
Avernus' treatment delays it, not stops it.
Hell of a delay, that.

Would be cool if one of the ways we managed to find our Warden was if, for instance, he romanced Morrigan, she was able to find him and it was one of the reasons she needed the Inquisitor as he/she could physically enter the fade.

He delays his, remember he was on the brink of a breakthrough on something big so I don't know but I bet he found away to avoid your calling, make you more powerful and live longer. I'm fine with that because now my Warden can live for a long time with his bae Morrigan and son! ![]()

That is good satisfying way to end the wardens story,
While that might be nice, considering Morrigan's appearance in DA:I, I'm not so sure that'll be how things play out.

We know the Taint is curable. The Architect can shield Armaas from it in Awakening and has done other stuff with it in the Calling. Not to mention that Queen of the Special Snowflakes got cured of it as a result.
If you've kept both him and Avernus alive between their research I suspect the Calling will stop being a thing somewhere down the road.

It is entirely possible that either could accomplish that on their own. Their chances would increase were they to collaborate, I think, if Avernus is willing. (He's already had a bad experience messing with things that shouldn't have been messed with. Though he might draw the opposite meaning from that experience, given that unleashing a swarm of demons on Soldier's Peak hardly made things worse.)

Wouldn't that also be at the cost of being able to stop an Archedemon? I would think your ability to do so permanently, would be removed.

Only if preventing the Calling specifically required you to cure the effects of the Joining entirely. But then, if it got to the point where it was curing the Warden of everything or the Warden dies, the process would have to require some precious resources to even be a difficult decision: a Warden who's losing to the Taint isn't going to be much use as far as killing the Archdemon goes either, and a non-Tainted former Warden might at least be able to handle bookkeeping or combat training or diplomacy.

Or they could just... take the Joining again.
Or they could just... take the Joining again.
Which could very possibly kill them since they had gotten to the point where they could no longer handle the Taint.

I might be doing something "evil" here (and thats on my 1st post
) but there has been a leak about the Keep that will answer a lot of the questions on how the appearance on Hawke and the Warden will be + alot of other things...
so SPOILER ALERT...
*removed*
Pretty cool.
Pretty cool.
Yeah it seems to be extremely detailed. I'm very impressed!!
I think most have been avoiding bringing up the subject, as any talk of it might be cause to close the threads, that said, I saw nothing of the Warden aside from what appeared to be uploads of old pictures that you could obtain from the original save file, at least on PC, and the reason I still managed to keep my current picture which I've always used for this site.

Oh they could do that
I'll remove the post just in case then! But they can't stop the leak since its already to spread out...
After a 2nd look I agree that the warden picture could be a fake or a placeholder... the other seems legit.
