My goodness I should be asleep, but a good old romance thread. And heck it's abt the only thing we have to talk abt. lol!

 

What I would like to see for improvement of the romances in the next ME is more integration of the characters--in general--to the main story. In ME3, the squad was more a part of the story because, well, everyone was affected by the Reapers, but in this next story idk how it is going to be set up.

 

That's why Tali's ME3 romance cannot be beaten. Not only is it well-written, it's seamlessly integrated into the Rannoch missions.

I've always romanced Garrus when playing as FemShep, there's just something that him that suits femship, not to mention I think his personality, characterisms, dialogue and romance option are probably the best In the game in my opinion.

When playing as a male shep, 90% of the time I've romanced Liara.

Are you sure you've met a mopey person in real life? I can't see how you can view Kaidan as mopey.

 

I also will never understand the sentiment behind wanting characters to die just because you dislike them, but I assume it's just hyperbole.

Have you been to a Liara thread recently? It seems nothing short of the wiping out of the entire Asari race is an acceptable outcome.

I haven't, but I can't say I'm surprised I've seen the Liara hatred often enough in all other kinds of threads.

 Am I sure? No, totally not sure. He and Carth are as mopey as videogame characters come. They should get a room.

 just a bunch of people that are butt hurt and hateful towards the "obsessed blueberry stalker" because she features prominently in the third installment of the trilogy.

James should have been a romance option. I wouldn't have chosen him, but I still should have had the option.

Traynor was actually a nice addition to the series. I haven't romanced her yet, but I like her.

Cortez is a nice guy, but the whole thing felt awkward to me. I romanced him once just to see how it played out and it didn't feel right. Kaidan was a better gay romance option for Male Shep than Cortez (although I don't like how he just became bisexual all of a sudden. Kaidan should have stayed straight, or he should have been an option for male Shep from the beginning in ME1). Anyway, Cortez recently lost his husband and kept playing that darned tape recording of Robert, so I found the whole romance with him to be a bit creepy. JMO.

lol. If a character annoys me and I have the opportunity to remove them from the game, I'm going to remove them. Whether thats just ignoring them and not getting them as squadmates (Fenris in DA2) or killing them/letting them die, I'm going to do it.

 

Imagine being able to remove horrific characters from  TV/Movies/Books. Bye Jar Jar Binks

Miranda was utterly butchered in ME3, but the scary thing is that there were worse.
