Please be the keep and not multiplayer T_T
"Big announcement" scheduled for later in August

Can't honestly say I wouldn't buy ever.
However, it would be a POWERFUL incentive not to buy right away. Simply because a can't trust their word that it wouldn't hold back single player. I chose to trust before and that trust did not pay off.
And I wrote 'really, and 'really, really' with your past comments in mind Iakus. ![]()
Respect your answer though, I guess the reviews and information post-launch would eventually reveal the full truth of it... either way.

If... ah who am I kidding... when they announce multiplayer I'll actually be relieved because it means we can get all that pent up outrage, fear, and "I told you so's" out of the way. Who knows... it could even turn out to be a mildly entertaining distraction for a few weeks after the single player gets old. The main reason the existence of multiplayer mode would please me is because it would mean that EA's mandated microtrantactions and whatever pointless "social features" they dream up will (most likely) be confined to MP and kept from tarnishing the SP experience.

I am so jazzed for a multiplayer announcement now. The more people fear it the more jazzed I get.
I don't fear Multiplay. My inquisitors edition is ordered and unless the company I ordered it from screw up, will be picked up by me in just over 3 months from now.
I don't fear it because Bioware have said they won't be repeating the mistakes made in the past, and the single player game they've created looks epic and will be more than enough to keep me entertained. If multiplay is there, hope you enjoy it.
Of course anyone who has doubts if the game is for them or not should wait for the reviews and read some gamer feedback before making any decisions. The game will be available for a good long time to come I suspect. Or at least I hope so because that will mean BioWare nailed it.

I won't actually use [or at least it's very, VERY unlikely] the multiplayer but I don't mind it's inclusion either. I figure it's the announcement too. I'll be kiiiiiinda disappointed since I'd prefer it being a demo or maybe the CC but eh.

Yeah, I mean, basically any announcement on the side of the game I'll play is a better one for me as well, but hey... it honestly seems like more people want it than don't want it right now, so if it makes 'em happy, I'll take it.
Then again, if history here has taught me one thing, it's that whichever side currently doesn't have what it desires is the side with the most posts. If and when it's announced, I'm sure the board will explode with resentment from people who are currently largely quiet on the matter since it doesn't exist.
Ah well. I have faith it won't interrupt my enjoyment of the campaign, and if an optional multiplayer microtransaction system legitimately helps keep the corporate overlords interested in the creation of BioWare games that give me what I want, let the people play, and let the people spend. I'll just shake their hands for helping to fund ME4 and DA4.

I agree I'm buying this game for the single player like a real RPG not for multiplayer if I wanted multiplayer I would buy a COD game or something. As long as Bioware stays true to the whole "we won't make the same mistake" policy then fine people can enjoy their MP but I won't be playing it cause to me RPGs are meant to be you know 1 player games.

I'm kinda surprised people are dismissing it out of hand, really.
I am by no means a big MP player generally, but ME3 was really fun - and there was even some limited story elements in the way that the multiplayer had a campaign of its own. People started roleplaying characters and stories, even though the customisation options were non-existent.
It's possible to convince yourself you'll hate something before even trying it, and I think sometimes it does lead to missing out on great experiences.
(Sure it could be terrible, but why make any assumptions about it at this point?)

A lot of people realized ME3's multiplayer is great and have gotten really into it. I actually went in there really, truly hoping to finally find something in the world of online multiplayer I'd enjoy and it still wasn't my cup of tea. So statistically I would agree with you through and through, but I feel like I'm admittedly kind of burned out on the idea that that'll happen.

I'm not dismissing DAIs MP out of hand, I'm dismissing all forms of multiplayer out of hand. I really don't like playing with other people. Teamwork blegh. It's just not my cup of tea. Granted the last time I played any kind of multiplayer was when I was like 11 and I had an incredibly sketchy internet connection and I really should give it another shot but... Well, we'll see how it goes.

Their will always be arguments. But when the announcement, whatever it is, is made at least there might be new arguments. LOL

People have different tastes. Why is that surprising? That is why there should be a variety of types of games instead of every game having to have multiplayer.

People having different tastes is precisely why major publishers are pushing for the inclusion of multiplayer components in all their games. The "I only buy games I can take online" crowd is gargantuan.

I really think it is going to be multiplayer. I think they have been saving it for last as they know it is going to cause waves, both positive and negative for their fans. To date, I feel they have been focusing on sharing the story telling and game content of the SP Campaign to shore up any doubts about that aspect.

The thing with MP is that it doesn't force you to play it. Unless they do it ME3 way, that is annoying.
