Mark my words, it will be Multiplayer! lol, there is no doubt imo. They need to tell people if there is a MP component, and time is ticking, and if the leaked achivements ( not facts i know, but i for one believe them) are anything to go by, i really think it´s MP that is the big announcment. (could be wildly wrong though).

I really doubt it will be multiplayer. Everything I've read has stated that DA:I Will have an "Online component". Whereas every game that has Multiplayer specifically says "Multiplayer". Besides, we already know what the "Online component" is. It's the Keep. 

 

So I figure it will be a release date for the Keep, or the Keep will be released. 

I think that this is correct.  It's going to be open beta for the Keep or a release date for the Keep.

Definitely multiplayer. I really don't believe it can be something like the Keep because I just doubt Destructoid can't wait to share about something which just isn't that important to anyone but hardcore DA fans.

Multiplayer doesn't make any sense though. Especially since the Online portion of the game is already known. The Keep is the "Online Component" of the game. The Keep isn't just for creating your World States, it's also for updating your decisions for the next game, as well as sharing your experiences in the game.

That's an interesting idea, I guess PAX is technically still in August

 

I think I remember reading that BW wouldn't be going to PAX though, since it clashes with their final crunch period for Inquisition. Not sure.

 

(If media did interviews and stuff about this big announcement, I think they'd probably just release them though? Maybe with a website update or something.)

I am not sure exactly what is happening at PAX Prime, just wanted to point out that we are there in some fashion. I have no idea if there is going to be an announcement related to DAI there.

I feel like it would be SO LATE to announce multiplayer. 

 

The Keep or something else is more likely, but who knows?

 

I have no personal interest in multiplayer, but as long as the core game is awesome, it'd be fine with me. And though my knee-jerk reaction is go go, "As long as it doesn't take away from the single-player, I'm fine", I also realize that that's not really how funding works.

Thanks for clarifying that, I forgot Bioware was doing the Bases at all those events.

I made the thread with the confirmation, in fact, in around October 2011. It was confirmed by an Australian magazine that published their cover early.

Interesting I don't remember that. I do remember the first time I saw any info on the game it said Multiplayer not Online component, for Online.

Being able to customize Hawke and the Warden, Mike Laidlaw tweeted about it , but the way he worded it didn't make it sound like some kind of official thing.

For the record, I'd rather play as Hawke than any version of the Inquisitor... he could just happen to be wandering past the site of the "incident" and get the glowy hand instead of Trevelyan.  It's not that complicated.

 

Not that I actually expect something like this...  my vote still goes to a multiplayer announcement.  I can't think of what else it might be.

And I'd rather Hawke die in a fiery explosion. We all have our impossible wishes.

Huh, I totally forgot all about this. This seems really likely. So, either multiplayer, or the official unveiling of this companion app--that's my guess. (Who knows? I might actually play a Dragon Age multiplayer.)

1) We don't have the finished box for DA:I yet.
2) The ME 3 box says 'internet connection required.' Same as ME 2, DA II, and DA:I.
