Yes ME3 multiplayer was fun but its DEAD now.
I can still go online and get a game pretty much immediately

I doubt it. EA seems to be working hard to better their image lately, and they'll want to keep day 1 DLC out of DAI to improve the public consensus of their company, I think. Getting less money short-term, but hopefully more money long-term, and all that.Could be the first announcement of SP dlc - which could be day one as both DAO and DA2 had it...
At a certain point though there's diminishing returns involved in adding content to singleplayer. They can't just keep adding things forever, even if they had the time and money to do it.
I wonder if the DA2 dlc were financially successful?
Though I found them some of the best parts of DA2.
Perhaps cancellation of 'Exalted March' is the answer...

If it already has 30 dungeons (and I totally made that number up), are another 5 or 10 really going to push people over the line to buy the game, or to enjoy it more than they already are?
Some people actually enjoy multiplayer, even horde multiplayer on arena maps. ME3 was much more successful than they were expecting.
Some people still don't get that I don't want BioWare to get rid of Trevalyan just to replace him or her with Hawke. I suggested a bonus character to play as besides Trevalyan. Besides people wouldn't be forced to play as Hawke, they could start a fresh playthrough with Trevalyan if playing as a human is what they prefer. Having Hawke as an optional human inquisitor besides Trevalyan would just be for people who wanted to have more of Hawke after DA2 ended. Now if you're going to hate me just because of an option, go ahead BSN. ![]()

While this idea is quite... interesting, it's not going to happen because DAI is not Hawke's story but Inquisitor's. Hawke's story ended.
Also fyi, Trevelyan isn't the only quizzy.
A choice in protagonist means changing the game radically, it's not possible unless you properly integrate a character like Hawke as a protagonist in this world. I could get behind the idea of Hawke being a temporary companion(kind of like the siblings in DA 2), but I don't see him as a protagonist. Actually, from the trailer, I think it's possible that Hawke will accompany us for a time, so that'd be cool.

Oh I know, I just don't like playing as anything but human protagonists. I'm not a huge fan of elves and dwarves to represent me or my own race in these games. People like playing other races, that's their choice. I prefer human protagonists.
Yes, i vote for Hawke being a temporary companion. ![]()
MP MP MP Pleaseeeee ![]()
I would love to have Hawke part of the inquisition as a general or a captain, we couldn't directly control him but depending on the side he took at the end of the Templar and Mages conflict in Kirkwall, maybe he could be used as a leader for one of those groups. Personally, I'd love to see my rogue Hawke defending mages in Inquisition with mentions of his love interest being somewhere else, helping their troupes.

It is still fun. People will play it till the next ME title comes out, I guess. I don't get why people think a MP will take something out of their SP experience.

The common concern is people being afraid time and money invested on MP could have rather been integrated into the SP. Doesn't matter if there was no need, nothing is ever enough.
Even when ME3 had a different team and their own resources invested on the MP, people complained.
I think people are too obsessed with multiplayer, both the ones who are for it and the ones who are against it.
I also seriously doubt that is the announcement.

So long as the MP doesn't affect the SP gameplay, as in needing to play an X amount of matches in order to shorten a certain mission timer, then I'm fine with it.
Don't force MP on people like in ME 3 and most will probably be okay with it.

My guess is that it might be something to do with the Dragon Age Keep.
I wouldn't mind multiplayer. I had a ton of fun playing mass effect with my friends, even made some new ones. It really extended the game for me.

That being the mildest ever definition of "force". So many other gameplay elements are forced on you but MP is somehow the bete noir for people.

I agree; with the bolded part especially.
Even if ME 3 had one additional mission of Grissom Academy quality; instead of the N7 maps and MP; would that really sway a person in a market for a new game?
I look at all of the revealed SP details for DA:I and I personally can not think of what else could be added to experience that would make the SP game any more appealing than what it already is.
*Well, the inclusion of modding tools would be cool (even though I am a console player
) but BioWare has said that modding would not be feasible with the Frostbite 3 Engine.
A couple of addition missions, or some extra time with a LI is not suddenly going to make the game ten times better then what it is already.

I'm fine with SP gameplay forced on me, but don't make me have to play MP in order to improve something in SP.
My hope would be one of these 3 :
1) Modkit - or at least mod support (override folder)
2) Finally a PC UI demonstration with a point-and-click interface
3) Huge DLC expansion set for Christmas release
If there is an MP, then I really hope they can throw out some kind of open beta. With 5 platforms to cover and EA's history on the online side of things, I don't have the greatest of faith that it will launch without a hitch.
I'll be happy to give it a go ![]()

This would be glorious.
