Also the part about Western American accents apparently being considered the clearest? OF course it is! because the rest of the world is so exposed to American film and television. If it were Aussie, or Seth Efriken media, then everyone would consider them the 'clearest' and 'most easily understood'. Not because its superior in any way.

You know, many people from Australia and South Africa also concede that North American English accents are generally the easiest to understand. Apparently, we speak very slow and define our consonants and vowels easy so as to make a clear, concise wording.

It's also why NATO codes in English use the American pronunciation for numbers and the phonetic alphabet. It's by far the easiest to understand.

Haha ok American well if you're sure you perfected my peoples language then you can believe that all you want.

I won't be continuing this internet argument, as it's off topic and I think you're talking a lot of BS.

But goodbye, and thank you for having this conversation in ENGLISH, the best language in the world. It's all one big family, right?

I'd say that right now, aside from Emilia Clarke, I have a very large appreciation of the Australian actress Rachael Taylor.

I don't call it a crush, more of an admiration for what he has accomplished as an actor

Says who? I sure don't. American accent ranges from horribly sloppy to understandable but irritating.

And F.Y.I., I find the South African accent one of the hardest accents to understand.

Says a survey by the ESL (English Language Learning) institute (they're international). A very broad study polled about 7000 people of English speaking nations which accent sounded clearest and most consistently recognizable (that wasn't their own). American English scored consistently highest. Apparently, Britons with Recieved Pronunciation find the Mid-Western/Californian American accent the easiest to understand over other dialects much closer to them geographically.

We pronounce every syllable and letter. We might sound weird saying a word you guys use, but we get our meaning across with the sounds.

Apparently, we're the only people that can properly pronounce the 'R' sound. That's my experience. Take it as you will. :P

Did those surveyed base that on their exposure to American T.V.? Because that's not a good thing to use as a basis for the answer to such a survey. Sometimes the Americans on T.V. and in movies - much like actors/actresses of any nationality - attempt a neutral, universal accent.

The survey didn't mention. That said, I'd say the reason being is that the American accent (the primary Mid-Western North American accent) is the most neutral. While we have our own share of accents that are hard to understand or comprehend as well.

Not when Youth is treacherous itself. It takes skill to be treacherous. And experience to be skillful. But it takes youth to apply them all together.

Some of the people behind the scenes should be thought of as celebrities too. This is stunt woman Chloe Bruce.

I want to note here too, the crush does not have to be sexual. It can also be because we'd love to be able to do what they do as well as they do it.
Sometimes we live a bit vicariously through these people because of our affection for them. As long as we make a point of living our own lives well, there's nothing wrong with that.

I already said Emma Stone.

But Alison Brie also,

and I think Jennifer Lawrence is pretty hot, though I'm kinda sick of Hunger Games as a thing.
