She looks kinda like the Cardigans singer...or its just my imagination?
This one e.g. http://images.starpu...Cardigans-2.JPG

But as much as I love Jennifer Hale's voice, few things compare to hearing Nina Persson sing No Sleep :).

wow. looks like you can actually see Shepards N7 on many more armor kits. Also the more detailed hair styles might save my first femshep. That fuzzy brick on her head made her look strange ingame... in the character creator it was fine, though...

The bottom picture is currently my wallpaper :)

Looks nice too, even considering that I had to resize it from 1280x720 to 1600x900.

What are people smoking when they talk like these are some sort of huge improvement over ME1? The lighting engine is better but the model and textures look exactly the same (I'm replaying ME1 as a FemShep atm so I should know). FemSheps and female NPCs still have a major case of giraffe neck and the hair looks to be a direct import from ME1, plastic helmet-hair, jagged edges and all.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due, but this thread just smacks of blatant BioWare butt-kissery...

I played Mass Effect around 20 minutes ago, and the ME2 screenies are by far an improvement in FemShep textures. Can't say much about models (her bosom seems to have shrunk, oddly) but there is an improvement.

Plus for all we know those could be the 360 visuals, and the PC may look a bit nicer.

Glad to see Johnny isn't the only one out there...

Speaking of FemShep... I've tried to play ME1 with a male character, both standard and custom and each and every time I give up before I even land on Eden Prime simply because the whole attitude of the male Shep is *such* a bad turnoff for me. It's still very well voice-acted, but for some reason I just can't get into him. I dunno.. he seems too friendly laid-back, as if he's some kind of pothead. (Nothing against potheads.. just doesn't fit into my image of someone who'd save the galaxy through violent and diplomatic means).

Righty. Done complaining. FemShep looks good with the updated textures, though it still looks like I'll be going with an updo, the hair still looks plastic'y

[edited to replace '****ing' with 'complaining' - didn't know '****' was a bad word here.]

Bioware stated the only difference from the Xbox360 version and PC version is the inventory and hacking system. The graphics look the same on both. Huh, you should seriously compare ME 1 on PC and Xbox360. They look the same.

Not quite. Although it's admittedly been several months since I last saw the 360 version in action, so I can't say for sure if my PC version is only looking sharper because of the higher resolution (1920x1200 vs. 1280x720 on the 360) and 4xAA, 16xAF, or if the texture resolution is also higher in the PC version.

To be perfectly honest I wasn't all that impressed with the ME1 graphics in either version, but ME2 looks to be a significant step up both in terms of the art design of locations, as well as graphics engine related things like improved lighting.

I'm also replaying ME1 (desperately trying to get a non-LI playthrough before Tuesday) and I think the textures, at least hair wise, are drastically improved. Also, the giraffe neck is something they didn't address specifically, but with the spiffy new uniforms, it is less noticeable which leads us to the same end anyway.
And, like I said earlier, I hadn't looked at any pictures until now so, coupling that with the general apathy Bioware seems to have for it's Femshep, I had created an incredibly unflattering image in my head of what the "updated" Femshep would look like. In these images she looks better than I was hoping she would.
It's not butt-kissery as much as it is relief they didn't completely screw it up :wizard:

Here's a Renagade female Shepard.

Posted Image

There was a rumor that the Terminator scars only affected the default male face. This obviously isn't true.

Awww, man... I don't want to my Renegade Femshep to be Terminatorized :/ She is currently my best-looking character.

Well, so we've heard, you can invest money in undoing your terminatorized looks. Look as shiny as a paragon.

While not drastically improved from ME1, it definitely does look better. May not be drop dead gorgeous, but the Shep in the 2nd pic is definitely quite attractive with that armor. So nice we can customize the colors now.
