ok I just cant take it anymore.... the very idea of hurting another person makes my core ache let alone actually KILLING anyone... and then u flip the TV and all u see is people shooting helpless people with their hands tided behind their back ....

I just lost it ... I cant take this anymore, I cant COMPREHEND how these scum can actually do this, killing someone in honorable combat is one thing, your both warriors and you know the risks ... but this .... this malice .. this evil sick SH!T

living in the middle east will probably not help my mind cop with this.... but I just.... I just wanted to tell some one and might as well be here I cant keep this bottled up

I have lived through 6 wars in my life NEVER did I feel any hate towards anyone ... EVEN the people that caused it, I just never could imagine myself hurting ANYONE, let alone an unarmed helpless human being

I must be living in the wrong universe ...

Just don't watch/read it then. I stopped paying attention to the news because it just made me mad at the news and very little else.

Unfortunately that's just how things are. We're an aggressive species as a whole, and that very often leads to killing.

If you can't stand to see it then really, the only thing you can do is try to avoid looking at it. Especially when it comes to the Middle East, as they've been fighting for an extremely long time.

Humans are bloodthirsty race, even if it doesn't always seem like that because we created alternative ways to kill.

I mean look, the only popular video games created are based on killing.

Some of the most popular movies have killing.

We all want to kill/see killing, even if it doesn't seem like that.

I don't blame you one bit. I've been asking myself lately whether it's really healthy to read as much news as I do. Although I do feel it's socially responsible to try and understand what's going on in the world as best I can. We're all in this together after all.

All I can say is try and contribute something good where you are and be a part of the light.

We don't like killing, we like danger. Violent games are never straight up murder simulators where the aim of the game is to kill unarmed, innocent people (except that one super edgy part in MW2). There is almost always someone out to hurt or kill us, and we have to hurt or kill them first in order to survive and progress. Violent games appeal to our primal "fight or flight" instincts, and our brains reward us with dopamin and serotonin when we "survive". That's why we enjoy it so much.

Books, movies and games are just means for us to experience danger without actually being in danger.

What part of the Middle East? Who do we need to bomb? Any reason will do.

I kinda understand. When you're bombarded with media depictions of a gross amount of stupid and a dearth of any humanity, it strikes a nerve when all you and I want is a single moment of social justice. It hurts because you may have grown up with some sensibility. But, guess what? Don't you have anything else better to do, especially priorities that require your attention, concentration, and clarity? I do, which is why I don't bother with that ****. It doesn't mean I'm numb to seeing violence. I don't have time to be infuriated and fulfill my need for a crusade.

My suggestion is to talk to an ideal listener in person. Ideal means one of your friends who isn't overtly judgmental or opinionated, but he or she is empathetic. It's rare because every mofo has some kind of pseudointellectual tripe that blocks their better cognitive abilities and judgment and therefore will communicate bullshit. If not, learn meditation. Breathe. Do yoga.

Humans tendency towards violence is both a blessing and a curse. Whilst it is lamentable, the truth is that violence and war drives progress.

Comment on News 1:

Because of Islamic Fanatics, the Izadis in northern Iraq are in hardship and I'm very sad for them. They've been living there alongside Muslims for 1400 years and they were marked as OK from Islamic states during history. But those Isis (Islamic State of Iraq and Sham) bastards have gone super fanatic and have turned the life of my Kurd brothers to hell. Damn them all.

Comment on News 2:

Enough of turning Gaza into rubble. Make peace and don't use those useless missiles. Israelis are brutal and merciless.

Maybe they mean without war the civilizations collapse morally after some time.

Or... without evil, good cannot be shined (or utilized).

If that is what they mean, then it is wrong.

It's only going to get worse as more people come into conflict over increasingly scarce resources

I sense a business plan in this

North Korea shot down a jet few months ago, and other different types of bad news. but I agree with Steel, it could lead to World War III that might wipe out Humanity.

that's not what I said, I said conflict will increase.

World wide conflict on the same scale as the World Wars is possible I suppose, but just look at the delicate balancing game going on in Ukraine, the most powerful western nations will be able to get around outright blowing away each other, now nations less developed or capable aren't as fortunate

I feel like you. I just witnessed a video of a black man shooting another black man in a grocery shop ( Bronx) and brutally whipping him with his gun  .. Has the victim seem to be convulsing on the floor. Five people just walk over him. I just could not believe it. AM I dreaming ? Is that really happening ? Yet I just could not look away and the media know it.

I was reading some super racist comment and ugly one about urban poverty. Than I realized most of these people were educated  from t.v/movies and politician. They never actually had the experience of hearing gunshot in the middle of the night , each night. Or people fighting each other in the parking lot. Or drug dealer harrassing you has you go to your car/bus. They never had to live in such an environment and never experienced fear of being beaten for just saying '' leave me alone''..

Those people are educated by people who have no ****** idea of what they're talking about. It's like a rich man pretending to be poor. You're still rich even if you pretend to be poor and destitute. Anyway .. I disgress. What I mean is.. I really agree with you. But the most horrible monster aren't the one living in the ghetto. They're white, rich and powerful.

Welcome to the modern age, where human empathy is not something that is highly regarded. The fact is I am surprised we don't have more violence in todays world. So many groups devalue human life and are willing to throw it away on their ideal of what they want. We are growing up with video games that were designed for adults mind you but parents are letting their kids play the not only encourages violence but glorifies it. But it isn't just games, look at the movies or TV and we got the most self centered people grabbing all the headlines and coverage. It is like the world is saying everyone out for themselves even though it seems to be against human nature. I can understand the OPs issues with watching the news it makes you want to go punch some people in the face when I watch it so I stopped watching.
